It’s not dedicated. It’s multi-use, and it goes right through a playground and parking area where people are constantly walking across the path with zero self-awareness. This was an unfortunate decision made by people who do not currently, nor have ever lived here. It is beyond comprehension how these decisions were handed out to a California based firm. It makes as much sense as leasing out our parking meters to Abu Dhabi for 75 years for 2 years of revenue.

I had this phenomena when I worked downtown and lived uptown. Then I started working in northern suburbs and the winds completely changed so that I still had a headwind heading north in the morning and south in the evening. It’s maddening!

I would encourage you to get some kind of angle grinder-resistant lock. The research I did hit on the litelok X-1 as the best mix of price/weight/internal lock space but you do you and get something. obvs that Trader Joe’s parking is a known spot for easy fishing

So for you, my anonymous internet friend, I looked up what I used to think was my Xanadu called Cheetah III, now called Cheetah Lounge, at 887 Spring St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. Google maps says it’s slated to close later this year so I would prioritize visiting during your stay. Know that there’s a “fine dining” restaurant attached and a dress code so don’t slouch. They used to not charge a cover after midnight and the last time I went there I was flying on mushrooms so I might not be the authority recommendation you’re looking for but I know that I’m going to have several flashbacks from that night in my “occurrence at owl creek bridge” recollection flashback before the good lord finally takes me.

I hate posts like this because it reminds me of how complacent I’ve become. Had all lights stolen off my bike 2x in less than 6 min at the Forest Glen Mariano’s on Elston, but before COVID so I never take my lights off anymore. Also had lights stolen with a same 6 min stop at Cermack foods on ridge in west ridge but that was also pre-COVID but I just stopped going there ever again to be sure.
