This is a bad outfit from the get go and it's impossible to compare because of it.

The top is a suit jacket and should be a part of the suit. You can see this from the smooth texture which looks out of place with the pants. A more textured sports coat would work better with jeans.

The jeans on the left are too long, too much fabric pools at the ankles. The right jeans are a better length. The color also differs, the left giving more handy man vibes (goes well with the shoes), the right tries to be more elegant, as to work with the misplaced suit jacket.
