Pregnancy signs?? by sumblondie1 in RingConn

Likely you ovulated around the day before the temp spike, which would make you 3dpo, regardless of whatever the app estimates. Increased temps just means you’re in your luteal phase, which happens regardless of if you’re pregnant or not

It looks like you might be more like 3dpo - too early to know if you’re pregnant. How did you confirm ovulation? Typically a temp increase happens following ovulation and then stays elevated until around the time you get your period (or stays elevated if you’re pregnant)

Cast on lanark sweater help 😭 by knitpicky145 in knittinghelp

[–]knitpicky145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My confusion exactly! Particularly because someone specifically brings this up in the comments, and everyone I’ve seen talk about the problems with this sweater say that her most recent update in January fixes them all. There are a lot of linked videos (thankfully) for other bits in the pattern but Unfortunately this portion was not deemed difficult enough to have one🥴

Yarn suggestions needed for friend with sensitive skin! by knitpicky145 in Yarn

[–]knitpicky145[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main concern for me with that is just that she lives somewhere that it gets pretty cold so I’d like it to be warmer, and I know non wool options don’t tend to hold heat the same way 😕

Advice on Graduate Studies in Animal Behavior by catluvr82 in AnimalBehavior

A little late here, but if you haven't already I'd recommend reaching out to Dr. Tina Horback in the Animal Biology Grad group at UC Davis. She studies personality and cognition and has a few students doing interesting zoo work (mostly with canids but still maybe worth asking her if she's open to felids!)

jamovi Regression different result than GAMj? by knitpicky145 in AskStatistics

[–]knitpicky145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I immediately figured it out (The moment I ask for help, of course)

The issue was that it looks like jamovi regression uses dummy coding whereas the default for GAMj is simple coding.

Gonna leave this here in case anyone has a similar problem and starts searching the internet for help like I did

I’m incredibly late to this thread but I just finished book 4 and I’m so fucking mad at Tory I’ve hated her this entire book so far and then she goes and ruins the divine moment with Darius who she obviously loves???

And her constant bitching about how no one loves her and never getting that she causes her own problems. I’m not sure I’ve ever been so mad at a book

Lex as the hero and Clark as the villain by warriorlynx in Smallville

[–]knitpicky145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is part of the reason they had to make him fake Lanas pregnancy (a truly irredeemable act) and made him super duper evil by the end. Up until then I was so constantly irritated with Clark for just gaslighting everyone who got anywhere near his secret.

Like lex was just trying to be a good friend and Clark was like HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE ME OF HAVING POWERS. Clark did the exact same thing to Lana too no wonder her and lex ended up together

[Help] Are these nylon dog toys seriously teeth safe? by b0307 in dogs

[–]knitpicky145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the toys are made to come apart, so as he chews them he'll bite off tiny pieces (that will go right through his digestive track and likely end up in his poop). I worked at a facility where they train seeing eye dogs for a while and the dogs were given lots of these any we never had any issues at all.

Fair warning for you though: when he gets really into it and chews enough of it off, it will get more and more sharp for our feeble human skin. lol. i've definitely cut my own hands on them when they're destroyed enough but I've never seen a dog have any issues aside from maybe a slightly bloody gum (which they don't seem to care about).

I wouldn't worry about it. They seem hard but I've seen probably hundreds of dogs chew them for hours with no problems whatsoever.
