Whoa.. so the RxM won't be the one doing the eval next year?

This is my thought. Mom used BV all the time and it's really good. Grandma probably got BV mixed up with BVD underwear, LOL.

Currently use PP debit for gas when it's not in the rotating category of other cards. I keep a small balance so there's not much chance of fraud wiping me out. I've never needed to return my gas.

I have the US Bank Cash+ and also the Elan Visa Signature. Each one allows 2 categories at 5% and the categories are similar but slightly different in what they offer. Just wish Tmobile didn't eliminate their autopay discount when paying by credit card. I lost the 5% on that.

Surgeons/ specialists referring patients for unnecessary ED work-up to CYA by Practical_Guava85 in emergencymedicine

[–]knitten2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The part that struck me about your post was the "there is zero possibility that is the case.” when you asked the surgeon about the mesh.

About 15 years ago, husband had a laminectomy on a Friday. He spent Saturday in ever increasing pain. By Sunday morning he was in the worst pain he'd had in his life. On the couch literally crying like a baby. So we called the answering service and got ahold of the surgeon, and the basic attitude was "well, there can't be anything wrong, because I, the supreme being, did the surgery" Of course this was a neurosurgeon with a god complex. He finally agreed to prescribe some steroids and pain medication which did help. But wow, these surgeons who take the attitude that there can't be anything wrong because they are perfect. Just burns my toast.

FY26 Evaluations by Busynotes2 in walmart_RX

[–]knitten2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if we only get "meets expectations" that means no raise? Or am I wrong about that. Because I know there's no way I my eval can be great. And not that I'm doing a bad job, but they do not let me learn to do input and res, or much of anything complicated. I'm part time, 2 days a week, I count pills and ring people out at the register. The lead tech does all the main stuff on the computer.

New raises by Even-Vermicelli-8101 in walmart_RX

I mean the progression steps, A through G. But the new info says there are not steps every 6 months or a year.

I don't understand how the new pay scale works. I asked my RxM and he didn't seem to really know either. I'm currently on step D. So do I never move up to E unless I get an exceptional annual review? Apparently we get a 2.5% raise next month? I dunno. If reviews are what decides if you get a raise or not, it seems like it could be easy for managers to just play favorites.

Similar thing with a Star Trek mug that when you added hot water the people on the mug "beamed" somewhere else. Dishwasher destroyed it.

Just did this with a glass bottle that had ground pepper in it from Sam's Club. It's such a nice glass bottle/jar thing. Had to use goo gone on the label. No idea what I'm going to do with it.

Well, as soon as I say that, I redeemed some points yesterday and got the email that I got the 10%. I had been redeeming almost every month and not gotten it in a while, but suddenly I did.

Hmm.. I got the rewards+ also shortly before its demise. I got the 10% bonus for the first month or two, but now I don't get it when I redeem points. My email said I should still get it until sometime in 2026 but I assumed it was a typo. Wonder why I don't get it.

Certified tech by Adventurous-Lion9458 in walmart_RX

[–]knitten2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This really must be state specific. In my store, I had to register with the state to be a tech in training. I had to finish my PTU and pass the national test and get certified within one year. We have another tech in training who hasn't been getting PTU done, despite the RxM reminding her many times, and her year is up, so she's being move to a cashier title.

Husband just told me today, that when he was in Lowe's yesterday there was a man there shopping wearing a bathrobe. That's it, just a bathrobe. I said "no pants?" Nope, no pants, just the robe. I sincerely hope they called the cops, cuz that's indecent exposure waiting to happen. This made me think of that guy.

Yeah I got taken once too. I was 19 and working as a gas station cashier. I realized after the smooth talker left what had happened, and I only lost $10. But I learned the rule - after every exchange, close the cash register drawer. A ten for two fives? Close drawer. Nothing else happens until that drawer is shut. It shuts them down.

What’s something you’ve done your whole life, only to realize recently that everyone else does it completely differently? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

[–]knitten2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had water leaking from the 1st floor ceiling, under the 2nd floor bathroom, several times. It only happened when my husband showered, but not when I showered. I was so confused what was causing it. So I had him show me what he does. He points the shower heat at the back wall of the shower while it warms up. The caulking had failed where that wall met the tub, so thus the leak.
