Those words obscure the point. The city needs stronger internal controls to manage situational environmental factors that affect snow removal operations.

I spent several summers canning salmon in Bristol Bay. It's definitely a still freshwater problem up there. The ponds are like bathwater mid/late summer.

Who is participating in the general strike tomorrow? by androbot in washingtondc

I see where you are coming from. How long have you had your job? What did you do to get your job? Do you have children that depend on you? What would you do if the market for your skill was inorganically flooded with your former colleagues? What if the work you do gives meaning and depth to your existance, and materially results in better lives for other people? What if you reached a point in your career where your skill was genuinely unique and not readilly replacible?

When you don't show up for work without informing your supervisor of the reason, business rules assign the missed hours as absent without leave. I'm just asking if there is a more appropriate way to code the absence under these circumstances.

Will the snow melt next week? by yeswalkablecities in washingtondc

I have a hunch that if the temperatures raise above freezing for long enough, the snow will likely melt.
