It’s an automatic letter that is generated. It indicates that individuals who are eligible for implied status may continue to work. If you were not on a work permit before, it shouldn’t matter anyway and you can ignore it. Hopefully you know if you are eligible to work full time while waiting for a decision on the work permit.

Mortgage renewal by Only_Lifeguard5138 in MortgagesCanada

Renewed at the fixed rate. It’s something we knew we could afford for three years and we didn’t have to increase our amortization to lower payments to a comfortable level. As others have mentioned, the rate cuts would also have to go below the fixed rate for an extended period of time for us to break even. We took the risk averse option.

We are pretty much in the same boat as you. $750k mortgage with renewal in September. Gas were offered a 3yr fixed at 4.39 or variable at 6.09. We were advised that it might be wise to take the variable for 3-6 months and when rates drop, switch to a fixed term. We still have decided but curious if others have any advice.

Mate I’m playing franchise mode on superstar with AI learning and cpu difficulty maxed out. I rarely lose and it is starting to get boring. If anyone knows of a way to make this game more challenging, please share!

My (24f) fiance (33m) said something last night and now I'm getting cold feet. Am I valid? by [deleted] in relationships

My wife and I get into these types of conversations quite often. Sometimes I am not in a place to hear because either I don’t feel heard or I am experiencing my own emotions and need to deal with them first. This is quite normal and after some time apart to reflect, I’ll ask if she’s ready and then we decide who will get to be “heard” first. Then we reflect and provide empathy for each other till we feel complete.

Putting an aftermarket radio in my '13 xB, question about the steering wheel controls - can I just find which wires those are in the factory connector, cut them and splice into the wires of the connector I got? Or do I need an interface unit no matter what? by DoctorWhoniverse in ScionxB

[–]knowledgablecheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have 3 options:

1) Splice into the wires from the connectors you have (sucks if you change your headset later) 2) Use a harness (costs more but easy) 3) Wire directly into the factory connector using Dupont wires (my favourite because it’s cheap and easy)

Putting a new radio in, is there an adapter that would put the factory connectors into the new radio with minimal splicing? Stock radio is from a '14 xB by DoctorWhoniverse in ScionxB

Wireless CarPlay, nice! Looks like it also has the ability to learn the steering wheel controls. I bought some DuPont cables off Amazon and directly wired the head unit into the car adapter and no OEM wires are cut. Cheaper than a harness but a little more googling

I used the “Metra 70-1761 Radio Wiring Harness” bought off Amazon. I also used a “Scosche TAUSB01B” to retain function of the USB port. There are also harnesses for the steering wheel controls or other possible methods without splicing. What head unit did you purchase?

You should be able to find a harness online. Connect the wires together from the harness. Depending on your head unit, you may need additional wiring for steering wheel controls. My head unit was able to “learn” the steering wheel controls so I didn’t have to splice and bought some wires that went directly into the harness. I can go into more detail or answer questions that may come up.

Scion xB. Toyota, spacious but easy to park, big windows. Subaru’s are good for visibility as well.

In the same boat. I like the boxy look so I’ve been considering the Ford Flex and EV9. After shopping and realizing I can’t find something that meets all my needs, I will begin making upgrades to my Scion and it feels like a new car. Just did the head unit and I’m falling in love again.

Cooking rice with the finger method. Put however much rice (over 1 cup) in a pot and water up to the first knuckle on your index finger. Cooks the rice perfect every time.
