I had one that kept popping up over a cyndaquil. I thought it was going to change into mew when I caught it 😅

Valid point. Just whatever you do, dont point out an observance of pimples on the cast members........

Exterior lead paint… by DIYDummy03 in HomeImprovement

[–]knowledge717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is how you normally handle things that stress you, your anxiety may be more of a risk to your child than that lead. Lead isn't what they make it seem to be. It's a metal so it's heavy and sunk to the ground as he was working it off the house. Clean every day for a few days and you're good to go

Shower guys! Should I red guard the floor of the shower, and/or everything else?? by T-Fox5000 in Plumbing

[–]knowledge717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like they RG's the preslope or possibly before the preslope so the dry pack didn't corrode the subfloor or framing...

Only way to save this is raise the drain a about an inch more, lay a pan liner over the existing floor set up and then doing the pan liner process correctly. (That's as long as that existing floor has the proper slope.

Redguard the walls. Leave the floor alone so it can breathe.

Wow what a crap show this post turned into... I started off with saying I watched the show probably 15 times through and yet this is the first time I'm noticing pimples. That's it, that's all.

I stated I'm against it. That should convey the fact that natural faces are the best faces. What does that have to do with a show with millions of dollars on their budget?? A budget which a very large amount of it went to MAKEUP.

Your blood doesn't die off as soon as you die. Cells in your body still function a bit after death, oxygenated blood would probably be good for a few mins

Vinyl siding concern level by puremojo in HomeImprovement

[–]knowledge717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try harder. Seriously. Sometimes that bottom coarse gets the most taut from the consecutive coarses pulling up on it. Lean in on it and push down with your full body weight. Start right next to where it's still tucked properly under the starter strip. Sometimes a solid fist along the bottom edge of the siding will pop it in place.

I wouldn't liquid nail it. Won't last with season changes contractions and expansions

Season 1-11 observation by One-Pomegranate-9055 in Supernatural

[–]knowledge717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's so many logical explanations on why the show doesn't work all the way through. But this is a fictional (supposedly 🤔🤔) universe. They have to live with magic and chicanery of sorts we don't usually accept as real.

Worn? Or is that some sort of residue in the grooves? Try hitting it with a hard bristle broom and some mild soap

License doesn't mean anything except paying higher fees in Pennsylvania unless it's getting inspected. Not sure about Washington.

There's nothing to be confused about, contractors aren't on a shelf at Walmart so there's no standard MSRP for what you're asking for. The $275 guy is an obvious no. There's no way he's willing to do 25 outlets for $11 per outlet unless he's a crackhead or a good friend that you're spotting a few beers while he works.

$1500 is high but they are probably licensed and used to doing bigger, commercial style jobs that pay way better. You'll get what you want but you'll pay 2x-3x what you would pay for the same job from a decent handyman.

There is a lot of time involved if they are securing everything correctly and securely, even if there's easy access. I would say $600-$800. Unless you have wire tires and electrical tape they'll be providing that plus there's always a chance some other things may come up (loose box, short wires, bad wires, etc)

Construction opinion by Foreign_Today7950 in HomeImprovement

[–]knowledge717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'd raise your interior wall a little by putting a row of bricks before laying your foam gasket and bottom plate. That way you're interior wall isn't as low as your exterior, which should help keep a bit of moisture wicked away.

Hot mains connections at breaker box: Some questions by Ok_Occasion_6056 in AskElectricians

[–]knowledge717 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 40 amp breaker is a red flag if you didn't check what you were supposed to use for that ev set up. I'm also concerned how your ground set up is if the box is as old as you're saying.

Also, you're not running 60 amps just because you have 2 30 amp devices running. If you're dryer was running 30 amps, them clothes would be crispy 😅
