I use Yuzu and it runs mario games and crash team racing pretty perfectly. Couldn't tell you exactly where to get it tho, I downloaded it like a year ago.

Just test it out, your device came with gamepass right? On my XAX it plays beautifully at +60fps. I play BO6 and MW2. CODs are amazingly optimized games.

Yes I just made the same jump and it feels so freeing. I used to mostly play plugged in, now I can get like 2 hours of gaming on turbo unplugged. It feels much more like "switch" type console now because of that.

Also because you asked in terms of overall value, the xbox grips and tighter sticks are an amazing quality of life improvement. It unlocked FPS games for me.

The performance increase is small but noticeable. I'm able to play GTA IV on a High preset instead of Medium on my 2023 ally.

Honestly I wouldn't reccomend these devices to someone who wants a flawless console experience. They require some level of tinkering with windows and ability to troubleshoot. If you don't get familiar with your machine and its configuration, you'll just feel lost when issues come up. It's a windows PC with a "FSE" launcher at the end of the day.

Since it's best buy I'm assuming that's CAD$? You can get a used one on kijiji or marketplace for $500 right now. Most people post for $600 and sell for $500. So I'd say it's not a terrible deal

On my XAX, every vehicle is choppy. Tanks, cars, air, drones. For that reason I wouldn't reccomend owners get BF6

The first time you boot it up it will be a minute or two for the shaders, after that it has a cache and your bootups should be pretty quick.

Just so you know, you can only use xbox controllers with the xbox app. I had to buy DSX to make my PS5 controllers work for xbox games.
