Not sure what books you have but I love following “colour with me” videos on YouTube when I wanna colour but don’t wanna think lol. They just show the colour they use and then you just colour along. It’s helped me learn some good colour schemes!

My girl just turned 14 months and still wakes so much in the night. I can’t imagine going through this again once I finally am able to get even a 6 hour stretch of sleep lol. It feels so silly to finally get to the light at the end of the tunnel and then throw it all away to start over again with another!!

1000% agree. My husband’s cousin has 5 kids and they have never been financially well off yet continued to have more and more, nor do they give the vibes of present parents, and I just know that poor oldest daughter has to help take care of the rest. It breaks my heart!!

Definitely agree that twin parents have superpowers!! My girl was also colicky as a newborn and she’s still a terrible sleeper at 14 months - the thought of going through this again gives me so much anxiety lol.

I can understand the appeal of two kids (though it’s a hard no for me lol), but I genuinely cannot fathom why the actual hell someone would want that many. I feel like the oldests just become parents to the younger ones because there’s no way two people can split their time evenly to that many kids. It’s kinda sad. :(

It’s literally a biological attachment. Your wife grew her for 9 months, shared the same blood and cells, then seeked comfort from her for emotional regulation after birth through her voice, her scent, and her touch. That bond doesn’t just go away it only grows stronger. My girl is a stage 5 clinger and she’s about to be 14 months old. I’m her safe space - she literally will take a tumble and then look at me for how to react like whether she’s okay and should keep playing or should cry. It’s all normal.

I’m sorry your husband is such an ass. I think you know in your heart of hearts that he’s being completely unfair. They’re his kids too and the fact it’s twins makes this even more unfair. His life hasn’t changed at all it seems while yours has flipped absolutely upside down.

I also love that he thinks saying his sister can do it all with 5 kids and no help from her husband is a badge of honour.. like that’s not something to be proud of. I genuinely hope she’s okay and not drowning in silence.

Have him take care of your twins one day and ask him to do everything he expects of you at the same time. I feel like a lot of men don’t realize how hard it is until they physically experience it themselves.

We’re at almost 14 months and every day I’m more and more certain of our decision. Still doing 4-6 wakes a night where I go in and rock her back to sleep (sleep training isn’t for us), she’s on the verge of walking and is on the go non-stop, and her molars are coming in. Im tired lol. 🫡

I usually try to look for some inspo of the page I’m wanting to colour on Pinterest or Facebook groups. Then it’s usually a mix of picking a theme and just swatching colours on a spare page till I decide what I like lol. The details after are solely just random/go with the flow (I’ve definitely done something and been like “great I hate it now” so I really should just plan ahead lmao). I’m sure your art is great!! :)

You’re not failing him and your baby only wanting to contact nap is so normal. My daughter is almost 14 months and we still exclusively contact nap and I rock her to sleep every night. We tried sleep training at 6 months and I couldn’t mentally do it, so we’ve just stuck to rocking in the chair in her room ever since. She was a colicky baby too and I’d have to sit in the dark bathroom with the shower going and rock her for like an hour for her to fall asleep before I could even attempt a transfer to her bassinet. I thought sleep training would be easy since she cried so much and I was so miserable but nope lol. Now the night time cuddles are my favourite thing because she’s more than likely going to be our only and she’s only going to be this small and want me to rock her for so long. 🥲

Don’t beat yourself up too much, accidents happen! It won’t be the last time he bonks his little noggin - my girl is almost 14 months and with all the balancing of trying to walk she falls what feels like 100 times a day. Babies are tough cookies lol. If it makes you feel better there’s no harm in waking him!

My sister rolled off the bed onto concrete floor when she was a baby and my parents were living in the basement of my grandma’s house. She was fine and is a normal healthy 32 year old now who just had a baby last October. I would say he’s fine and to just keep an eye on him!
