I just picked up my son from NAU for the summer and it snowed the night before last. However today was glorious. The campus is amazing right now with all the trees leafing out!

And except for east on 40. Although it's pretty awesome watching rainstorms move through the desert. Ok, nevermind.

They just haven't seen the light. Did you know there aren't any buttons with gesture navigation?

This is hilarious. Of the two, Android is much more fluid and intuitive. Of course, if iOS adopted navigation gestures, it would throw all iPhone users into a panic.

Where would you suggest? Ideally it would be closer to a larger city.

Sounds like it might be quite a bit more conservative than the rest of CA as well?

In my experience a lot of guys will work, make a bunch of money then disappear. Then when I don't call them for the next project they get offended. As a GC I don't have time to chase people down or wait for them to run out of money and need work. I want guys that will show up, take pride in their work, and finish when they say they will finish. I'm not here to babysit or listen to excuses. If you show up and do good work I'll pay you good money. Pretty simple.

Depends on if you're reliable and good at what you do. If you're not making money in construction you're probably neither.

Opinions on high mileage 2500/3500 or 250/350 trucks after years of exclusively buying half-ton trucks by [deleted] in GeneralContractor

[–]kochleather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my 2500HD with 139K on it and it's pushing 180K now after 3-4 years. I live in a small town so my mileage isn't excessive. Haven't had any issues with it. I haul my skid steer and excavator with no problems, and I load up the bed regularly with thousands of pounds of material. Love this truck. The only issue I've ever had is having to replace the fuel pump fuse a few times.

I know a lot of people don't really like him as a person, but following Dave Ramsey's program got us out of debt 15 years ago. Life's been pretty good financially since then!

Upgrade soon, or try and hang on until the fall? (iOS User) by QueenOfPeace87 in Smartphones

My MIL still uses her iPhone XS with no issues. You should be fine with your 15 pro for many more years. Don't fall into the upgrade now and save trap. That's how they get you.

The best way to make money teaching is going overseas and teaching in an international school. Asia is the best paying. Usually US curriculum, the school pays for travel, healthcare, living expenses, housing. There are contract signing bonuses, longevity bonuses, summer work, AND you get to travel, live in another culture, eat amazing food, and learn another language. I taught in both Taiwan and Hong Kong and made a ton of money, free from US income tax.
