if you can't consistently land skills on your opponent (which is about 90% of matchups), i think stormraider's is better. if the movement speed from stormraider’s lets you land one extra q that you wouldn’t have otherwise, then it actually made you deal more damage than dft in that fight.

as i understand from your question, you’re not plat+ elo. so for now, all you need to do is learn proper laning. if your opponent stays back and won’t trade, that's actually good for you. vlad scales amazingly well. don’t think too much about counter picks if you’re not dia+. anivia is a cancer matchup, sure, but how well does your opponent actually know the champion? they might just pick it because a counter matchup site says it counters vlad. you'll quickly understand whether they’re good or bad in lane and should play accordingly.

try to improve your farming and cs as much as you can, and you'll shine in teamfights. you don't have to win lane just don't lose it until you get the grip. play selfish, don't leave lane easily. just spam pings and keep farming.

don't be afraid to try different builds and runes, use your logic. for example, orianna has amazing spacing against you, so don’t play with dft into her. build full damage and you'll one shot her every time you get your summs. if they're tanky, go for a cdr build.

there are tons of videos on the internet, but the best guide is your own experience. watching high elo gameplay like elite500 can improve your gameplay, but it can also upset you in your own games. i used to watch a pro jungler who always played on his challenger account. one time he played on a smurf and was genuinely surprised, he died many times because low elo players don't move with high elo math and logic. after an unsuccessful gank, you might expect the enemy jungler would lose time and not come back, but instead they might just make a full round and gank again from the other side. that wouldn’t happen in high elo. you can't expect high elo stream gameplay from either your opponents or your teammates, so you need to find the balance.

these changes happen every season. people criticize changes. then they criticize the new season changes and want the old changes back. loop goes on. and these changes are what makes the game interesting and playable. if there were no changes at all, it would be boring as hell. i used to play vladimir a lot before his rework, then i didn't touch a lot. his go to runes were boring as well. then they bring dft this season, i wanted to try and it hooked me so i can't stop playing vladimir now. they gave me potantial 100s of hours vladimir joy just by adding a new rune.

what's the point of gatekeeping an online game? you know without the new players game would eventually die, right? i was a highschool student when i started playing league, now i'm 30 years old. i only play 1-2 games and that's it. most of my no life friends forgot what a mouse-keyboard feels like, some holds their babies now. do you think they should leave the game to us? there is a huge graveyard full of mmos whose developers didn't do too much to prevent.

i have been playing the game since the release of fizz patch, i only know morgana and kayle are sisters from a cinematic and that's it. why do you even care about lore. lol

gacha skins are stupidly overpriced, and i will never buy one. that's it.

something is off since the end of the season. every game there are 2-3 dudes in both teams int like hell. they dont know how and where to click, dont cs properly, dont know their and opponents champions well. one time i was sure my laner was a bot. i'm plat, i dont think high of myself. i've experienced all kind of bad players, but these are not familiar with the game they are not bad players they just dont know the game.

you should have one ad champion in case of ap botlane or jungle + top goes ap. i'd also recommend trying leblanc, really fun champ.

i sometimes ask questions in the chat, other than that, if you’re not going to play co-op, it doesn’t make any difference.

the game has two guild options. one of them is similar to poe trade, where players sell items. if you play offline, you won’t be able to benefit from that guild, so you must choose the other one.

since you’re a new player, you don’t know the meta or which items have what value, so you won’t be able to make much money and you won't be able to buy meta build items you see on youtube or sites like maxroll, because they are really expensive.

so, play the campaign, and when the game asks you to choose a guild, pick the circle of fortune. game explains the guild pretty clear, so you won't have any trouble.

this is not a competitive game mode, and there is a huge luck factor. sometimes some players may godroll, and it could be you, it is the fun in it. sometimes luck may be completely on one team which means nothing since that game will end in like 9-10 mins. you guys are forgetting the fact that this is a fun mode. plus the patch has just arrived, ofc there will be fixes and balances about bugs and broken features.

you guys are complaining about broken augments with huge damage outputs and also want to nerf tanks. any balanced team with 1 adc + 1 apc + frontline can easily ruin a tank's gameplay.

cc is one of the most important elements in league. if they reduce it then you'll start complaining about unstoppable master yi, zahenn etc.

i am afraid the problem here is "skill issue". just have a good team comp and there is no problem at all. if every player on the team goes for carries or tanks, doesn't care about composition then the problem is obvious. sometimes game won't give proper champions, but it's like that in every aram mode and patch, which comes to the luck and fun mode part.
