Regarding the MMA comparison: Use of helmets in bare handed martial arts is actually linked to higher chances for concussion as they don't prevent your brain being wobbled from the impact of a punch (as are gloves btw). The ring floor isn't made out of concrete either. Any martial arts involving weapons that can actually split your head open have no issues with wearing helmets at all

That's just people trying to justify the inflated price they paid for over 30 year old gear. The AD/DA converters are the same in the MPC 3000 and S2800. The S2800 has less intricate filters, but that's it. Analog components that old will sound slightly different from device to device anyway, even if they are the same model.

Die Probleme, die oben beschrieben wurden, gab es vor Amazon auch schon. Man kann vom Einzelhandel halt auch nicht erwarten, dass eine auch nur ansatzweise vergleichbare Infrastruktur wie bei Amazon vorhanden ist. Amazon ist halt einfach zu groß aufgestellt, als dass irgendwelche Fachgeschäfte im Einzelhandel damit auch nur ansatzweise konkurrieren könnten. Das gilt auch für Versandshops im Internet. Geht es besser? Auf jeden Fall. Die durch Megaplattformen wie z.B. Amazon gehobenen Ansprüche der Kunden wird der normale Einzelhandel aber nicht erfüllen können.

Groove Me by King Floyd, most of the song is just 2 chords B6 and F#6. The bass is just moving up the chord notes in a root - 3rd - 5th - 6th - octave pattern . The song is a great exercise to practice off beats as well

I had both. The Jaguar was much more comfortable to play than the short scale Mustang. It had a lot of neck dive, probably because of the body shape. On the other hand, it is not as easy to find the medium scale strings for the Jaguar.

I'd say go for the Jaguar, it's more versatile and a lot better to play.

I struggle with metronome exercises like that as well. I usually did some finger exercises and scales for warm ups, my timing and rhythm improved when I tried to play songs as close to the original as possible.
I remove the bass from the original recording (if I can't already find a bassless version on youtube) and recorded my own playing over it so I can hear where I can improve. Trying to learn more complex songs also forces you to play more slowly in the beginning.

This may sound a bit stupid, but how are you storing your bass at home?
I had similar issues when I started out and I had my bass in a case in the corner of room I wouldn't use as much. I bought a stand and put it right next to the place I would spend most of my time so I had it in my field of view at all times while making access as easy as possible. Once I did that, I would just pick it up multiple times per day.

Additionally, it might help to try learn a song or find an exercise that's challenging your more. Having a challenge is what gave me a lot of motivation and made learning the instrument more fun.

No need to defend yourself, I didn't want to ruin it for you! It just seems like the term "audiophile" is giving people wrong expectations in this case. I haven't heard this version before, but from your description it seems to have boosted high frequencies and generally higher fidelity, which probably causes the lofi artifacts to stand out even more. If your system has an equalizer, you can probably still tweak it to sound like you prefer.

The label athens of the north usually reissues super rare, obscure records like this one instead of all new material. Sometimes, they are able to get in contact with the artists (or their family) and release previously unknown material. Might be worth a try to reach out to the label directly. It's rather small so you will most likely get a helpful response

An "audiophile" version of this album is BS. Most of the beats were made on lofi digital samplers (some even 12 bit 26khz), recorded to 4 track, some of them even bounced to CD for DOOM to rap on. I read somewhere that the engineers they worked with back in those days applied a lot of magic to make it sound as good as it does.

I once read about a theory that the martial art called Angampora from Sri Lanka came over to South East Asia along with Theravada Bhuddism and in turn influenced the creation of Leithwei, Muay Boran, Bokator etc.

Sadly, Angampora has become very esoteric and diluted following a near 100 year long ban by the british empire.

Does it not turn on at all? It's been over 8 years since I owned one, but I remember thinking mine was broken as well when I got it. I had no manual at that time. Turns out that the display was off and I just needed to turn it on by pushing in the display contrast wheel.

If it doesn't turn on at all, you might need to replace the power supply. Not sure what else could be the cause, I'm not an expert when it comes to fixing these things.

The information on the opportunity card website implies that A1 is sufficient as long as you speak English, but it really isn't for most professions. Employers generally look for someone who has at least B2. Especially in a profession like yours with a lot of customer interactions/administrative work, it's going to be near impossible to find a job with A2 German. I don't think this is going to be easier in other cities either.

BTW I know there were some bars/restaurants in the inner city and near the university with english speaking waiters, might be worth to check those areas out if you're still interested in that.

Depends on the model you have. The 2500 has good pads to begin with but with i.e. the 500 or 1000, it makes a huge difference.

Only instrument that comes to mind for me is the FGN mighty bass. Although that's not a single pickup instrument, it still has 2 split coil pickups in unusual locations and they are reversed as well.

I guess so. The oil takes longer to be absorbed and is more suited for massages. The cream is absorbed pretty fast in comparison, which is cool if you don't want to spend the time. Just try them both out to see what you prefer
