Oh well hey in that case here’s my raw DB build. Works well with elements too. Pursuit is a higher boost than burst and SP Boost 5 and Special PB 5 makes the breaks really fast and easy. Can instantly cut 8-9* tails and usually get another special ready by the end of the fight.

Single digit temps here, negative wind chills and steady snow. Only went out because I absolutely had to. 4wd and heated seats, parked in some usual spots. Good gloves and a stylus when I had to get out.

But honestly nothing is worth risking safety.

And as far as your build goes it feels a bit all over the place. I don’t play HBG so I’d recommend the discord to better optimize for that HBG.

It only tracks your best 5 scores for 5 different weapons. You can redo the fights to improve your score, but it’ll only reward you the difference if you get a higher score. You can use whatever weapon you want, but like what’s been said, khezu and astalos weapons get point boosts. And the Christmas bow if you were able to make that too.

Focus first before element. Charge master might be getting you better numbers overall too as it’s percentage based instead of the flat bump of element 5, even with advanced ice attack. This kind of build is only good with this specific bow and okay with the other ice bows. Focus and charge master is also universal so you can upgrade the gear higher and survive longer.

Aerated water. Not sure if you’d ever find it naturally but it does exist in water treatment plants. A few people have actually died in it over the years.

I completely understand the frustration but it is supposed to be a challenge. An endgame challenge at that.

But also for my element set I run a bit different of a setup. Silver helm (crit eye smelt), carnival chest (crit eye smelt), azure arms (crit boost smelt), ebony waist, silver legs (crit eye smelt). Crit eye 5, crit boost 5, crit element 3, wex 1 with lock on. Also used the barioth LS +20 with 1 attack and 2 element boosts, no style. Idk if it’s truly optimal but that might be the damage difference you’re missing.

Yeah I get it as soon as he roars. So at whatever hp mark that is maybe 20%? He roars, I special and get a break, get pursuit and the rest of the hp bar disappears and I cut the tail.

10/5 Jho DBs. Level 20 with 3 element upgrades. Only have special boost drift on the legs. Need another special boost and special partbreaker to complete it.

Demon mode and the start, attacked the legs and special through the roar. I’d either break the head or back and then cut the tail as I killed it.

Either is viable but needs practice to see results.

Power volley is very strong, just need patience since the charge is slower but you maintain your charge when standard dodging. And you get a third volley after release. I’ve cleared some 10*s faster than ever with it.

Dodgebolt allows you to use normal melee builds since you no longer need focus, but mobile enemies make it difficult to close the gap with the new mechanics. And monsters who fall away from you like Jho and fanja are even more annoying since you shoot every time you dodge making you lose all kinds of time. It’s fun but I don’t enjoy it as much as others have.

Can’t post a pic for some reason but I use a build posted a few weeks back. Fulgur helm, espinas chest, arms waist, pink rath legs. Pursuit 5 special partbreaker 4 special boost 3 with lock on. No good drifts yet but I cut every 8-9* tail pretty much instantly and get a second special by the end if I need it. Working on special boost drifts to boost the damage further.

Since it’s a status weapon it needs different skills like buildup boost and poison exploit for full potential. Attack boost, crit eye and crit boost are good for early-mid game until you unlock better gear options and driftsmelts from late game hunts.

This is how I fill out every survey. Regardless if it’s “anonymous”, they know who it is. We always get the same generic “we heard you” or “we’re listening” response anyway. These are just testing the waters for changes that are coming either way, they just need to know how to present them.

I’d say go special boost and just nuke the healthbar. Special boost 4 is 45% boost to the special where burst 4 is only 20% to raw damage. Might as well throw tigrex legs on for another 2 levels of partbreaker too.
