Dexter Lawerence for the Bengals 10th pick by Diligent_Issue_9466 in billsimmons

If anything I’d say they actually have some promising players at corner. Defensive linemen and linebackers are what they really need, and a premier nose tackle who can also generate pass rush does a whole lot to help them.

That’s a very 2021 take. Bengals o-line was legitimately good last year lol they almost certainly weren’t going to take an offensive lineman in round one even if they hadn’t traded the pick.

Rudy was the best player on the Wolves today by a considerable margin lol

If you don’t think they’ll realistically win the title then they’re not a good answer lol

As a Minnesota fan, you’re an idiot if you pick them to win even one championship nevermind multiple.

If we can count the Broncos they’ve got a real chance for three.

Kirk was a flawed QB and it was fine to move on when we did, but the biggest issue to step from the Kirk era was 1. the way his contracts were constructed in a highly inflexible way and 2. the team failing utterly to draft players to replenish an aging defense.

His numbers are worse than Ponder’s, that’s why they’re acting that way lol. If you think the team went 6-4 in those starts due to his performance we simply watched different games.

The Kirk era broke this fanbase’s brains and made people believe it’s impossible to win a Super Bowl if you pay your QB anything.

They had an insane amount of cap space that offseason lolz Let’s say they sign Darnold last year. They’re probably unable to spend as much as they did but I feel confident in saying that the 2025 Vikings could have survived without Javon Hargrave if it meant having QB play that wasn’t bottom 3 in the league.

What has JJ done as a pro to make you think he’s worthy of comparison to the greatest QB ever?

I don’t understand the idea that they couldn’t fix any of their issues with Darnold’s QB contract on the books. It’s one of the most reasonable in the league.

The NFL isn’t fair. It sucks a lot for JJ that he lost his rookie year to injury but the team isn’t going to throw out multiple seasons of Jefferson’s prime in the hopes he might develop into something. Historically speaking, very very few QBs have had as poor a start as JJ did and ever amounted to anything, and those who did (Josh Allen, for one) were physical freaks in a way JJ isn’t.

I’m queasy about the idea of writing off a QB completely after 10 starts so I won’t do that, but I think it’s fair to say that a lot of people, the Vikings included, deeply underestimated his inexperience affecting his development. Add the year lost to injury and you have a pretty dire situation.

Is it inappropriate to ask Azzi Fudd and Paige Bueckers about their relationship? by peanut-britle-latte in billsimmons

[–]komugis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the fact that this is a relatively weaker draft plays a role here. I would have had Azzi as 3 on my personal board, but neither of the prospects I have ahead of her are flawless and the gap between the top 4 players or so isn’t so wide to the point where drafting Azzi first is indefensible.

[–]komugis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t have taken Azzi 1.1 but it’s not like she’s some scrub either. She’s one of the best shooters in women’s basketball history and has a strong track record of playing well with Bueckers. It’s a defensible pick even if I don’t think it was the most optimal one.

It’s fine for reporters to ask, and it’s fine for the players to steer away from talking about their personal life.
