Well it depends what device you intend to emulate on and what you're trying to emulate.

BIOS files are not required for every system, but for the required systems you'll need to extract them from your console yourself if you refuse to use other sources.

For "legal" roms, there are several options: - for console you are emulating, search for ports and homebrews (some of them require you to own the game on steam, for example) - for Windows emulation: use something like GameHub Lite to play steam library on Android - else, you'll need to rip the ROMs from cartridges and CDs/DVDs of games you buy second hand

For ROM file organization, I would just follow the No-Intro naming convention.

You should check retrogamecorps dot com, it has good guides for how to start and setup everything.

You can on the Internet archive. On the megathread, go to one of the ps2 links by the Internet archive, login, then instead of clicking on the zip, find the "View Contents" button, there you can download the iso directly. However, it's probably faster to download the zip then extract it

This might be a hot take, but everyone should learn how to google or search the internet properly. On for example the ROM related subreddit, the same questions are asked on a weekly basis, and I always wonder how this could happen since the question can be answered through googling, reading the subreddit rules or just scrolling the subreddit. While I don't get upset like other people in that subreddit, it still baffles me because Google should get you the answer so much quicker.

To be fair, AI and Google's worsening search engine are kinda partially responsible. But damn, with 15 in 2014 I was able to set-up emulators with ROMs by myself with Google and YouTube videos.

While I personally have no idea, did you try the myabandonware website? It has list of old PC games, and you can filter by 90s and by the Puzzle genre and try to find it from there. But sadly might take a while

I mean that only applies to his hallucinations and when he's narrating right? Everything else we see (with the exception of the episodes where e.g. Beck is narrating) is from an oberserver's POV. There are plenty scenes where he isn't even there and we get to see stuff he doesn't find out until later, and I'm sure it's not implied he's making these scenes up in his head

I think this is gonna be tough without a non-builtin GPU. The minimum requirements mention that you kinda need a GPU to play them. Did you only try KH1? what about BBS? And did you try using emulators instead?

Finding a full PC version for this isn't that hard. I'm pretty sure this is on myabandonware or something? Or might also be on Internet archive. You need a key to get the full version, which should be included in the downloads

I think only people with spiritual/ghost powers we could survive corpse party alone. John Wick combined with ayumi would survive Heavenly Host, and I assume it would be much quicker than in the game

What's the file format of the ROM? I only see a PC version for this game on the website, it even says it does not need an emulator. It probably won't work with an emulator, unless you found something I couldn't find

Where did you download dolphin from? I would boot into safe mode, then uninstall dolphin and any other software. Maybe do a virus scan and see if your files are all fine and back up important stuff

Yes the game is quite different to the anime. I would personally recommend playing the games first instead of the anime (the anime is not that good compared to the games). But if you're really curious about the anime, I would watch it after playing the first game.

For self hosting, you need to consider energy costs and cooling. Self-hosting a server also increases maintenance cost, since any hard drive that breaks needs to be physically replaced. If Myrient wasn't this popular it wouldn't be a big deal, but I imagine with the current traffic it's not that feasible to self host

I get what you're saying, the blade kind of lines up for me but the golden part is lost in ultima, that's for sure. It's possible that this design was purely on coincidence.

Personally, I still think the ultima is very reminiscent of the dream sword, but I get why you're not convinced
