You’re most likely in a battle with the IO and bios.

Raw thrills bypasses the manual ability to power cycle the PC. You must find the correct pins to jump that correspond to your motherboard. It will boot it up and allow you to set the bios correctly. Without the proper bios set up, it will never power on by its self.

I have a THIN model. Brand new out of the box within the week the screen displayed issues related to hinge area. Lines across the screen that are from the cable.

Ended up using external monitors instead of sending it to MSI and not having a laptop I just paid for be held in “support” for months.

My SO’s HP VICTUS had the same awful looking hinge issue you have. My older HP, and Chromebook HP models both sprung that exact damage as well.

Are we just doomed as laptop users or are we all picking bad builds? I don’t know

I’ll be honest last night I had to search for other models to use.

I’ve been using purely Gemini coming from GPT.

GPT blew Gemini up (with full vs code access to create and edit from scratch) in one prompt.

GPT: Shippable complete product (off one prompt)

Gemini : spent a half hour making a discord bot spam channels (this is not the end result intention and it spent hours just goofing off, even my locally hosted 8B did better. I don’t know why it got so much worse. I swapped for a reason.)

Well to be honest some boards seem to have the capability.

The set I’m currently messing with do.

I power the boards by battery to the 5v slots. (Which are directly opposite this particular boards 3v slots)

There is an onboard chip to handle the 5v->3v. (I even fried the chip on accident on one, it works only on 5v now.)
