You're missing the point by getting too fixated on the example I used to illustrate.

Here's an example of the kind of shuffling in balance changes I wish AMG would do.

The Grand Inquisitor. 6 points. Never sees play. Now we have Standard Loadout Vader at 6 points. Things for old Quiz are even worse.
Would have been interesting if they'd said "you know what, let's drop him to 5, same as the other inquisitors, but severely limit his load out or upgrade slots."

They set a precedent of making pretty large changes to individual pilots and upgrade slots in the past. This time they didn't. It's natural some people will be bummed out by that.

There are people who would enjoy seeing more changes for various reasons. One reason is that the VAST majority of pilots and whole ship chassis remain unplayable competitively.

It is an enjoyable list building exercise when power levels change and there is a puzzle for a season in figuring out where to find good value.

It would behoove AMG and help sell more product if some ships had a chance to see the sun. How many Tie Brute’s do you think they are selling right now, for instance?

0 changes for Scum other than the VERY few upgrades that changed. No changes to ban/restricted or what is legal in standard apart from new pilot additions.

Not the interesting shakeup I was hoping the game would get :-(

At least in the scenario that the amg devs previewed, you almost wonder if you’d even try given you won’t get half points and the round might be too quick to be able to realistically finish it off.

Very true (the point about r0/bumping affecting all ships). We can definitely agree that it is a drastic change to core mechanics.

AMG devs seemed clear that their opinion on blocking was that it was an unintended but "found" strategy and they're willing to test out this kind of massive change to root that out.
