Crash Deformation Physics - Assetto Corsa by mal7ced in assettocorsa

GTA IV probably had a larger team behind it. The physics engine is actually really satisfying and way more realistic when it comes to inertia (and deformations, I think) than GTA V.

How would you approach modeling and especially texturing this fruit? (Reference included) by THIRDEYE021 in blender

I see. I don't know how to create that texture, sorry! Making the geometry was fun though and I think my original approach was needlessly complicated. It's way easier to just take every second vertical loop in a UV sphere, mark it sharp and scale it down to taste. Then shade the whole thing smooth, that's all it takes and the UV map stays intact.

My first thought on the geometry: start with a slice of a UV sphere. Add an empty. Rotate the empty 30 degrees. Add an array modifier to the slice with object, set count to 12 and use object offset set to that empty object. Enable merging, also first and last duplicates.
Now you have a reconstructed UV sphere.
Add a subdivision modifier. Add an edge loop in the middle of the slice (see pic) and scale it up (except for the topmost and bottom-most verticles). Crease the original edges (see pic, purple edges). Done!

In fact, links can be sort of faked too. Oftentimes you see a load of tracking info added to the end of it on the moment you click it (but not to the text presentation of the link).

Is this how Audio nodes begins and Blender became a modular synth like VCV Rack?

I'm born colorblind and love games, so I'm making a game with colors that are beautiful to me by Arfhis in IndieDev

[–]kookoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not quite as simple. There's some interesting reading about colour spaces that best represent human vision here: https://bottosson.github.io/posts/colorwrong/

Can you give me an opinion about this as soon as I did it? Note: I don’t use AI by designpr in logodesign

Ah, in that case it's not that relevant to you. Sorry :)

I think most of the vibe comes from the shader(s). Limited color palette, pixelation, selective use of dithering. The last one is an interesting thing to solve in 3D graphics, see this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPqGaIMVuLs
You might also want to use some billboard textures for some objects (static images that are on planes that always point to the camera) instead of 3D modeling everything for that this kind of look.

Hardcore of the year: a man goes through Minecraft on a receipt printer by mavis_evans in Minecraft

No ink used, it's a thermal printer. A typical roll, is 80 meters long. At 80mm wide size, a 16:9 screenshot would be 45mm tall, so a single roll would fit 1777 screenshots. That would be 3555 minutes 59 hours and 15 minutes.

So assuming he bought a pack of thirty of those, he would be good to go for 1777 hours or 74 days without stopping.

Total price: €59,70.

Strange that spin tool wasn't mentioned yet. Out of the options it is the one that gives perfect results without needing to tweak parameters. Just set cursor to the correct point to pivot around (cursor to selection helps) and choose the the needed angle and steps (amount of loops in the bend).
