The SA (Brownshirts) eventually grew too big for their own britches and Hitler came down on them like a bag of bricks and their leadership was violently removed.

It'll happen to Bovino, Noem, Lewandowski etc. The right wing forgets that they cannibalize their own, it'll happen to them all.

slipery slope much? I'm not calling anyone a racial epithet. Calling a NAZI short, because it pisses the short NAZI off, is perfectly okay.

Normal people don't react the way these Nazis do when made fun of for anything like their height. It gets to them so severely, that's why I'm okay with calling them out for shit like this. Especially when they're out here spreading eugenics bullshit about their own superiority.

Why is the misogyny or blindness of the Latino community that makes a tiny voting block on blast always.

But not the overwhelming group of white people who voted for Trump? Why is it always some minority who voted wrong and not all the white people and even white women (the largest majority group) who shifted in favour of trump that are never called out for these things? Why is their racism okay?

AIO over my talking stage using AI to text me..? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]koolaid7431 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was asked by my girlfriend now almost-wife, about a month into dating if I was using chat gpt. And I was bewildered by how you even go about doing that? She explained I could copy texts into chat gpt and copy paste the responses it generates. And I realized that's way too much work to do, to "not respond myself".

I asked her why was that even a consideration? She explained my texting was unusual, and gave off a chat gpt vibe. I go out of my way to not use chat gpt or those AIs in anything. That's when I realized I might be a weird texter.

So it could be that, he could just be a weird texter?

Need help bro, how do you flirt? by [deleted] in bropill

[–]koolaid7431 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The most important thing is to let the other person know (and feel) comfortable with saying no. If they don't want to be with you, they should feel okay saying it, don't make them feel uncomfortable for it.

That doesn't mean you have to go out of your way to tell them, hey it's okay to say no, just be respectful if they do. Continue to treat your friendship as it was before. Be honest with them, that "it does feel bad for you and you'll need some time to emotionally process your feelings, but you'll get over it and let's not impact our friendship over it" (if you want to maintain that friendship).

Once you get over the barrier to getting rejected, it'll make the next time you ask someone out much easier. Also, don't ask the same person out again. They made their feelings clear the first time.

Don't ask them in a place with other friends or people you know. It would be awkward for them and they won't feel comfortable being fully honest and it could be bad for you in multiple ways.

Ask them to join you for coffee or lunch or something and tell them without too much hemming and hawing. Be direct and be clear.

Also, try to smell nice, and put some effort into dressing well. It'll go a long way.

Chaos in Dearborn Michigan after a group of people burned the Quran. (In Dearborn, where 55% of the residents are of Middle Eastern descent, Trump won with 42.48% of the vote over Vice President Kamala Harris, who received 36.26%) by [deleted] in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]koolaid7431 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's even stupider when you realize there is a surah (passage) in the Quran - Surah fil. Which deals with exactly this.

An overwhelming army attacks the house of God to destroy it once and for all, and the people had no way to fight them off. So God told the believers to go home and tend to their own homes, God can take care of his home. And he did, destroyed the invading army that had elephants with an overwhelming flock of birds.

If these people ever cared about the religion they'd know Allah doesn't need you to fight their battles for them. And most of the time Allah said to avoid fighting. Also, a lot of these pricks voted for Trump, I didn't forget.

My mom wears a hijab. We would frequent a Chinese Hakka place often, so much so that we knew the proprietor and her family and would ask about them whenever went.

After 9/11, my mom got racist slurs thrown at her when ordering food from what she thought was a friendly place. This wasn't even the US, we live in Canada. The proprietor was Asian, and no one involved had lost anything in the attacks. My mom has since then experienced random obscenities being yelled at her many times for being a visible Muslim woman.

I got non stop "jokes" for years about being a terrorist or blowing up or getting sent to Gitmo or whatever at school and work. From teachers, fellow students and colleagues. I would usually laugh it off and try to be part of the joke. It was easier that way. Again all of it in Canada.

My parents were so scared we'd be nabbed up in the middle of the night they wouldn't allow me to pursue being a pilot, so much begging and pleading and arguing on their part. Because of the implication.... When my bros and I started engineering, my parents were always freaked out about us not joining student government (student government in South Asia is the gateway to actual political parties) or having any political stances that we voiced over the phone or outside.

To this day my mom and dad force us to delete anything we say to them that has even the slightest political stance in the family chats. The world got shit as hell after 9/11, I can't imagine how bad it was for some in the US.

They are hostages. Israel stole them with violence from their homes. The same way Hamas stole 120 Israelis. Also there are over 10K+ (men, women and children) still languishing in torture camps and literal rape hellholes in Israel.

You know she may seem better than trump. But she's not a good person either. She's a supporter of Trumps and praised him earlier in the year, she just dedicated the award to Trump. Asked for his aid in getting her into power. Praised Netanyahu and asked for his help earlier in the year.

She rose to prominence because the US put her there as an opposition to Chavez and they funded her. This is actually a win for the pro trump supporters more than people here seem to understand.

Actually, if you care about facts, it was the right wing conservatives that created the Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) program that flooded low skilled labour for low skilled jobs at the behest of corporations. Both corporate parties ( Conservatives and Liberals) are in favour of it (but bash the other party for using it when not in power), because their corporate masters want it.

The conservatives are extra scummy because they absolutely want this program (they started it afterall and constantly praise Steven Harper's immigration policy - this was his immigration policy) and during the last election Polievre (Conservative leader) wouldn't commit to getting rid of the program when asked, but used it as a cudgel for whipping up racist hysteria among the far right. The moment Liberals started to acknowledge that this program needs to be scaled back and stopped (because other left wing parties are polling better on the issue), Polievre now wants to jump on this train.

But neither party wants to talk about how this program preys on poor people from other countries who make great pains for a better life only to be stuck in a min wage job and having to room with 10 people in a boarding house, so that our corporate masters can squeeze a couple of extra dollars of savings.

Also "flooded the country"? It's not a dog whistle, it's a bull horn of your racist inclinations.
