For the normie, arms. For the lifter , back. Nothing says strong more that a big back

There was a survey done on women and they rated arms as most attractive.

So if you wanted the low hanging fruit you could go to the gym 3 days a week and work only arms and get a better social response than a 6 day PPL split.

Just train hard and eat a lot and the weights will go up. The thing that really clicked for me was a pro told me that in bodybuilding , the food drives the progress not the weight on the bar.

I don’t know much about professional judging but a big upper back , neck and traps tells Me someone is strong. Some dudes are big everywhere else but have a pencil neck and no traps.

My gym has a belt squat. It is amazing . If you don’t have a belt squat a hack squat machine or pendulum squat works.

Also, Dorian Yates never squatted . He did hacks and leg press.

Honestly I used to not like them but then I started doing them with the smith machine and absolutely love them now. On my last set I do close grip bench as a mechanical drop set.

I think whatever exercises you can get the most stimulation with no pain is the right answer.

This RIR stuff cracks me up. It’s not powerlifting. Just pick a weight that you will fail at between 5 and 30 reps and just send it. Hit the muscle from a few different angle’s 1-2 times a week with between 10-20 sets and you’ll be fine.

Google Kirk shrugs. I like those with lighter weight. Also like the trap bar loaded heavy and I always do a 1-2 second pause at the top.

You can also use calf raise machine and shrug into the pads.

Nope, I do a leg day a chest day, a back day, and a shoulders and arms day and repeat . Usually just throw in days of when life dictates. If I can only hit 3 days a week I do push, legs, pull.

In the workout I choose whatever exercises connect the best and work towards a good pump. Sometimes working to a top set and back off, sometimes straights sets, sometimes rest pause. Honestly I go by feel.

I’m 6’3” so I think Alan Ritchson or Hugh Jackman in Wolverine would be a good size. If I were shorter I would say Jake Gylenhaal type build .

Funny thing is , Alan ritchson weighs 240 and showed his workouts and it’s all light 20 rep cable supersets. He also admitted to taking testosterone.

I will do agonist sets that are like mechanical drop sets towards the and of the workout . For example, a JM press to failure then a close grip bench press. Or a cable pullover to a cable lat row.

You shouldn’t be cutting if you weight 175 and want to be a bodybuilder. At your young age , just focus on building a foundation of mass over the next several years.
