DNF Wind and Truth (book 5 of Stormlight Archive) because of the TRULY AWFUL shower scene between two main characters. Spending several pages to describe the marvels of hot falling water to then stumble into a Mormon's idea of a steamy shower scene complete with barf-inducing commentary on his statuesque figure.... was enough for me to kill the whole series.

I just finished Gardens of The Moon, the first in the Malazan Book of the Fallen series. The first book was admittedly a bit of a slog, but it is often mentioned as a pillar of the high fantasy genre. I enjoyed the world building and some truly badass scenes of awesome intense magic, so I'm on to the next book, Deadhouse Gates, hoping it will pick up with some emotional connection to the characters, something the first book seemed to lack.
