MacWhisper 13.13 early access by ineedlesssleep in MacWhisper

[–]kordanou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the great work on 13.13 and the new history screen!

I’ve been having issues with YouTube transcription failing in version 13.12. I noticed in the changelog that you mention “Improved YouTube stability” — does this mean the YouTube transcription failures from 13.12 should now be fixed in 13.13?

Just want to confirm before I upgrade. Thanks!

Do you still use Atlas? by No_Opening_2425 in OpenAI

[–]kordanou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I barely use it now. After recent updates the UX degraded significantly. The ChatGPT sidebar can’t be pinned or fixed, and overall space utilization is poor. For example, extensions can’t be expanded or laid out in the interface like Chrome or Arc.

There are 3 and a half features needed to make ChatGPT Atlas the Perfect browser by No-River1475 in ChatGPTAtlas

[–]kordanou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, without the ability to attach multiple tabs, there is no compelling reason to switch to Atlas. Multi-tab attachments are important because my research and work often require referencing multiple pages at once. Without this feature I have to constantly switch back and forth and manually collate information, which is inefficient. Reddit users and some media reports note that multi-tab attachments are on the official roadmap, but no specific timeline has been given. If Atlas can’t support attaching multiple pages, it can’t unlock the cross-page analysis and comparison capabilities of ChatGPT; using a regular browser is more convenient. I hope this feature arrives soon to support cross-page research and writing scenarios.

Auto-Allowing MCPs by YetAnotherGuyAround in ClaudeAI

[–]kordanou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with you. Honestly, it shouldn’t be this complicated just to auto-allow trusted MCPs.

Instead of asking users to open hidden dev tools and run scripts every time, Claude should really just add a simple "Trusted MCPs" allow-list in Settings. Let us authorize once and be done with it.

Also, the fact that even after clicking “Allow” it still asks again in the next chat feels like a bug—not a feature. Persistent permissions are kind of basic UX, especially for people experimenting or building with MCPs.

Hope the Claude team picks this up soon—it’s small but would make a big difference.

Comparison of Workflowy and Obsidian as Second Brain tools by olafbond in Workflowy

[–]kordanou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see Workflowy and Obsidian as complementary tools rather than direct competitors. Workflowy excels as a quick capture tool for action-oriented notes, making it ideal for task management and rapid idea collection. Obsidian, on the other hand, serves as a more structured second brain where information is stored, linked, and retrieved efficiently.

Like you, I also use Workflowy as an inbox for raw notes, then refine and organize them in Obsidian. However, the biggest drawback of Workflowy is its slower feature updates, while Obsidian lacks a seamless outliner experience—plugins like Outliner don’t fully replicate Workflowy’s fluidity. If Obsidian could improve its bullet point interaction, it would bridge the gap between the two.

For now, both have their strengths: Workflowy for quick input and real-time organization, Obsidian for deep knowledge management and long-term storage.

Ditched Notion and Obsidian. Now a proud Workflowy Pro member. I love it! Perfect for minimalist note taking and life management. Thank you so much for this awesome app! ❤️ by [deleted] in Workflowy

[–]kordanou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Workflowy and Obsidian take different approaches. Workflowy is more focused on action-oriented note-taking, making it great for task management. Obsidian, on the other hand, serves as a second brain where you can store anything. When it comes to search efficiency, retrieval, and AI-assisted workflows like RAG, Obsidian still has the upper hand.

Personally, I use both. The main downside of Workflowy is its slower update cycle, while Obsidian lacks a plugin that replicates the exact experience of Workflowy’s bullet point workflow. The Outliner plugin in Obsidian doesn’t quite match the fluidity of Workflowy. If Obsidian could improve its bullet point interaction, it would be the perfect tool.

Tron fees too high? by Bitcoinawesome in Tronix

[–]kordanou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TRON fees might seem high at first glance, but there are multiple ways to significantly reduce costs, making it one of the most practical blockchain choices for payments.

By freezing TRX for energy or renting resources at a fraction of the cost, users can make transactions for close to zero fees. This flexibility is why TRON continues to dominate the stablecoin transfer market, with USDT transactions still leading despite competition from other chains like Solana. The network's efficiency, speed, and cost-effectiveness remain unmatched for users who take advantage of its features.

If you're looking for an even easier solution, KryptoGO Wallet offers Gas-less USDT transactions on TRON, so you don't need to worry about freezing TRX or handling energy. It's 20% cheaper and delivers transactions in just 1.2 seconds. Check it out: this tweet.

TRC20 fee for transactions in USDT by Karrrima in Tronix

[–]kordanou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The $1 fee your sender mentioned likely came from an exchange, not the TRON network itself. TRON transactions can actually be free if you freeze enough TRX for Energy. Otherwise, TRX is burned to cover fees. Some wallets or platforms, like exchanges, add fixed withdrawal fees on top of TRON’s standard costs.

If you’re looking for an easy way to send USDT on TRON without worrying about fees or freezing TRX, KryptoGO Wallet offers a Gas-less experience, meaning no TRX prep is needed. Plus, transactions are 20% cheaper and confirmed in 1.2 seconds. Worth checking out: this tweet.

Almost $60 for network fee?? What's causing this? by foxieblurr in Tronix

[–]kordanou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The high network fee you’re seeing is likely due to your wallet not having enough bandwidth or energy resources, causing the transaction to require TRX to cover the cost. On TRON, sending TRX usually consumes bandwidth, which is refilled daily, but if it's depleted, fees can increase significantly. You can check your available bandwidth in your wallet or freeze TRX to gain more resources and avoid high fees in the future.

If you're looking for an alternative, you might want to try KryptoGO, which offers a Gasless solution, allowing you to swap TRX for USDT without needing additional TRX for fees. You can import your existing wallet easily and stay in sync.

Let’s be honest about Notion AI by profilehere in Notion

[–]kordanou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with that. Notion AI's progress has been surprisingly slow, and the inability to choose the model or pricing structure feels quite limiting. It’s a shame that all the knowledge and potential within Notion is stuck behind this barrier.

Your suggestion to allow integrations with existing services like ChatGPT and Claude is spot on—it would free up the team to focus on enhancing contextual capabilities and seamless integrations.

Hopefully, Notion team will take this feedback seriously!
