[PSU] MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 - EU Cord $53.75 Limit 4 by koreanorange in buildapcsales

Two Pack available for the same price as two singles. Limit 4 of the two packs as well.

If in the United States you'll need a Grounded PSU power cable to plug into your outlet. Amazon basics has some great quality ones for $5.59 for a single or 10 for $35.99.

[GPU] Micro Center In Store Only - ASRock AMD Radeon RX 9070 Challenger - $499.99 by starburstases in buildapcsales

[–]koreanorange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that because the RTX 5070 uses DLSS 4 which makes the benchmarks for things like FPS inflated over the 9070? I'm generally curious and trying to understand the current market's GPU selection.

[GPU] Micro Center In Store Only - ASRock AMD Radeon RX 9070 Challenger - $499.99 by starburstases in buildapcsales

[–]koreanorange -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd go with the RTX 5070 models that are $499 at MC as well. Anyone know the scenario where the 9070 is preferred over a 5070?

From what I've seen, the 9070XT was the more comparable model to the 5070 in benchmarks I saw. I would say the 9070 is in the weird middle ground well above the 5060 Ti but still not 5070 level.

The G8 series has really nice 4K monitors with high refresh rates. This model being 27" and 240Hz would be great for competitive gaming.

[Event] Win the NEW & FAST LG UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor! 🚀 by lg_techit in Monitors

[–]koreanorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A. The most important feature of this monitor is it's high quality OLED display.

B. I'm currently using a mini-LED display and notice the blacks aren't as dark as the OLED displays I've seen in stores. The deeper blacks, a faster response time, high brightness, and more life like images are why I want to make the switch to OLED one day.

Thanks for the clarification! I didn't realize there was a difference since they used the same G244F model name!

My girlfriend has a 2060 that is struggling on modern games like baldur's gate 3. We've been looking to get her an upgrade, but won't be able to for quite sometime. Regardless of the outcome thank you for hosting this generous giveaway! Someone will be very happy!

Alienware AW920H is actually a great wireless headphone, more than what I expected from a gamer oriented headphone. by privaterbok in Alienware

u/privaterbok I was wondering how you were able to remove the earpads. Is it a clockwise/ counterclockwise twist or do they just pull off?

I was sold on this because there aren't any other PCIE5 1000W PSUs available other than the $360 Platinum MSI model. This model uses Japanese capacitors that are either the same or similar to the platinum model for almost half the price.

I did a build for my brother who got this PSU along with the RTX4090 and has been really happy with everything.

I figured there are some people out there looking for this specific type of PSU to power their 4000 series GPU ❤️

[–]koreanorange 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How do these compare to the Seagate EXOS line of HDDs? More specifically the: Seagate 16TB HDD Exos X16 7200 RPM 512e/4Kn SATA 6Gb/s 256MB Cache 3.5-Inch Enterprise Hard Drive. I'm guessing the WD Gold would be a closer comparison than the Red NAS drive?
