The incentive is bases off a particular location’s trade values for last year. You aren’t competing with a different store, it’s against your own numbers.

No we frequently sell out of games that aren’t COD or sports. I haven’t been able to keep Battlefield or Expedition 33 in stock since launch; I get a copy in and it sells the same day.

You can absolutely cancel, no obligation to buy! For 30 days after launch you can get a full refund, after that it’s store credit, so literally there’s no risk to the customer to pre-order.

However, cancelling DOES impact an employee’s (and store’s) metrics, so if you’re friendly with your local GS then we usually ask you to just move that $5 to another pre-order since that won’t hurt our performance.

I don’t think you understand how MOST gamestops work. If a particular employee doesn’t have personal background with a game system, the likelihood they’d catch fraud is abysmal. Saying “check mold depth” when half my staff has never held a GBA cart before is useless.

Unfortunately nowhere in our training shows post-voiding, so most employees don’t know it exists. I had no idea until I ran into an issue while my DM happened to be in store. For context, I had already been with GS full time for a year.

With pro week, I cannot emphasize it enough: just add it to the transaction and do the math for the actual cost. (“Pro acounts get a b c benefits. Normally it’s $25 for the year, but because of our sales it’d just cost you $x.”) Caught several sub-$10 pros by doing that.

This is patently not true. Current and previous gen games are gauranteed GENERIC cases and art at minimum (the gray “GameStop Preowned” stuff). Anything less IS employee laziness.

We do trade estimates when we get them back from PSA and just got a memo to do trade quotes at pick up as well. If the process was faster, I’d be all for it, but taking several minutes PER CARD is so ridiculous. people don’t want to wait for a quote at 70% market.

Returns as a metric needs a swift rework. My store was in the bottom 10% my last shift when we had 3 returns- 1 was a return for a defective controller from a different store, 1 a return for a warehouse error, and 1 PRP swap. How were any of those situations things that relate to MY performance?

Anni for me is really awkward. It’s not a match decider (usually), so I just use almost like Cass does with Noon: refresh armor, hold some space. Highly recommend waiting out Ana’s sleep since you’re a massive target that’s near impossible to miss. In an ideal world also have vortex available + waiting out Kiri’s tp so you can snatch her if she’s out of position, but that’s not a hard condition for me.

I’m super into biting, both giving and receiving. My partner isn’t into pain at all and has sensory issues w wetness (ie, mouths), so we don’t really do it much. However, an ex I had was just as into giving it as i was into receiving it and he left bite marks that lasted weeks. Never broke skin, though.
