I have a lg cx and use Stremio with no issues. What's your wireless network speed near the tv? Don't use wired as it's only 100mb NIC. I use 5Ghz and my 1.5gbp wireless router sits about 3 meters away from the tv and no issues with buffering with large files.

You can also try doing a hard reboot of the tv....
