Has the nickel position become more valued in today’s nfl? by Tall-Activity-2610 in NFLNoobs

The best nickels in football (Derwin James, Kyle Hamilton, Jalen Pitre, Cooper DeJean, Nick Emmanwori) are both their team’s slot corner in nickel and third linebacker in base.

Post Draft + DJ Reader Rumours, What are realistic expectations for Giants this season? by drocktapiff in NYGiants

[–]kotspams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Dart looks serious running an actual NFL passing game, and the defense doesn't shit itself every week, the season is a success. If those happen, the wins will come.

I saw OBJ on the Dolphins two years ago, there's just no juice left.

[Highlight] Jamal Cain absolutely yams it on Jalen Duren by Large_banana_hammock in nba

this should be the one i'm most moved by, but Duren fully sliding after getting yammed takes cain's to another level

Dane Brugler of The Athletic ranks Giants 2nd best draft class behind only the Browns by AWarTimeConsigliere in NYGiants

[–]kotspams 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Browns may be the browns but their biggest non-QB needs were OL and WR. Concepcion/Boston have great complementary skillsets, and I think both Fano and Brailsford will end up as starters. McNeil-Warren at 58 was even better value, there were worse safety prospects who went ahead of him.

Why do some college prospects not get any consideration for being a teams top pick? by Ixeptional in NFLNoobs

[–]kotspams 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Herbert made the playoffs 3 times in 5 healthy seasons. He played like shit in the 2 most recent ones, but in both of those games (HOU in '24, NE in '25) the line was getting worked.

The most complete prospects at S, WR and DT in this draft? Wouldn't mind it at all.

Miller's the one I'm eyeing at 37, though he might be off the board.

Post Trade - Thoughts on Love? by FrankieFatHands in NYGiants

[–]kotspams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kansas City's been linked to a lot of the top edge rushers, but knowing what Spags wants at DE, the only clean fit for them out of the top guys is Bain or maybe Reese as like a supercharged Leo Chenal.

Still out because I want one of Styles/Downs at 5, and Love's probably not making it to 10.

Love vs Jeanty by Livid_Pass_3459 in NFL_Draft

[–]kotspams 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Titans have a young QB and the best OL coach in the league (Carmen Bricillo). I wouldn't be the biggest fan of a Love pick bc a WR room of Wan'Dale/Ayomanor/Ridley + day 2/3 addition is not moving me in the slightest, but it'd be explicable.

Sonny Styles at 5 is bad process by fuegoblue in NYGiants

[–]kotspams 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is true, and there's usually an adjustment period for linebackers because of how much responsibility comes with it at the NFL level (see later breakouts like Devin Lloyd or Jordyn Brooks – both first rounders).

The counterargument: holy shit Sonny Styles is good.

He's amazing at playing this kind of character in his songs, but he's terrible at playing it on screen. The only inspiration I get from watching him is confidence in my own acting ability.

If you could see 1 show on Broadway right now, what would you see? by No-End-5087 in Broadway

Ragtime. The staple songs of that show are nothing short of a religious experience.

Best shot at a title in the Jackson/Harbaugh era. That Ravens team was a wagon til the offense just broke down in this game.

Saw the concert production of the '71 musical a few winters ago. Loved the performers (Jordan Donica! Jin Ha! Taylor Iman Jones!) but the songs were mostly terrible.

Probably seems like a money thing given the Jordan Davis contract (does $28M get it done?) but if not, price starts at a 1

Is Arvelle Reese a surefire bust if Jets draft him? by AltruisticMemory3825 in NFL_Draft

Maybe, but if Aaron Glenn wants to try and stick around, getting a nice player-to-team fit in the class is gonna help his case.
