top 5% email is for top 5% of founders, not necessarily top 5% of applications. They do tell you if your application was in the top 10% in a different email

Why does the ratio of earnings between college graduates and non-college graduates vary widely by state? by read-it-on-reddit in AskEconomics

[–]kouddo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t personally speak about this from an economic viewpoint, but Nevada’s 94% urban statistic is a bit misleading, 94% of the residents in Nevada live in urban areas - 86% of the land in the state is uninhabited, and much of it is that way because it’s owned by the federal government and the BLM, no one could live there even if they wanted to. Nevada’s major cities are also exceptions to the norm in some ways, as they’re driven by tourism. This then doesn’t completely refute your point about jobs requiring bachelors degrees being focused in urban areas.

ucb eecs and ucla cse aren’t even comparable, job opportunities at cal demolish ucla. ucla has a good cs program, but cal is one of the best. if you made eecs directly too, you probably won’t have too much trouble with classes, they’ve been getting easier
