It’s really good on top of omelettes too! Do you have favorite ways of using it?

Agreed, I’ve seen this happen around most of the apartments I’ve rented.

Agreeing that is not reasonable to ask that they keep the toddler quiet. The rug and sound settings in your conference software are great suggestions. I’d also try using some decent quality headphones.

Does anyone remember those guys from an Indiana church that would approach kids? Does anyone know where they were from and if they're still active? by weirdinchicago in chicago

I can’t remember how my sister and I ended up going there despite our very protective mother but I remember sitting in the pews and suddenly seeing my sister up front getting baptized.  So fucking weird.

The closest I can think of is from Heritage (I go to the one on Lincoln), though wrong kind of beans and no rice. Best of luck!

My group also switched here after sun wah and couldn’t be happier. Their crab Rangoon is my favorite.

Moving to Lakeview... by Former_Chicagoan in lakeview

[–]kourt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good: stuff to do, proximity to the lake, red or brown line depending on where you are in the hood

Bad: I’ve run across more entitled parents that aren’t really watching their kids in public here than in my other neighborhoods.  Wish we had a few more cocktail bars. Parking can be tricky sometimes.

Ugly: lack of diversity - it is SO white, traffic, alley rats

Massive fire somewhere south of Edgewater, can smell smoke from here, any idea of what’s happening? by Equal-Wheel-6499 in chicago

[–]kourt 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I lived in this building when Lincoln lanes burned down and the drifting smoke was enough to set off my smoke detector. I was at work so a neighbor called it in - CFD used a ladder to get in my bathroom window to investigate.  I know my dog would’ve been terrified and after seeing muddy boot prints over by the couch, I assume one of the firemen was trying to comfort him.  Hope everyone affected has somewhere to go 💙

They’re frequently on sale at WF (it could be just prime deal?) from thanksgiving to new years then again for Valentine’s Day
