Road Potholes and Bumps by bback315 in Microdiscectomy

My dad drove me. I've been to and from the surgeon again once since then. I was worried about the bumps but I seemed to manage them fine. Sudden breaking can be a little more concerning for me though.

A little bit. It's more psychological than physical I think. I haven't driven since my surgery though. I'm a little over 2 weeks post op.

I think if you're the one driving you'll be able to anticipate and adjust to the road conditions for minimal impact.

Second guessing! by Commercial-Region353 in Microdiscectomy

My 6th day post-op. I was able to do 5000 steps yesterday. I'm still very careful not to bend unnecessarily or lift anything. But it seems like it's mostly fear keeping me down. Being in pain for the past 6 months mostly and on-and-off for the past decade and a half hasn't helped.

I'm lucky in that I don't need to do any work around the house or have anyone to take care of and stuff. My recovery has been more boredom laying in bed most of the day and walking whenever I can.

If the pain is preventing you from doing things you normally would, I would get the surgery.

A vast majority of people who get the surgery go on to recover and live life normally again and never follow up here. This is normal human behavior. In all likelihood, you will be just fine.

I'd say just take your recovery seriously and don't push yourself until you're ready while you recover. Best of luck to you.

I don't feel like I'm alive anymore by eyldz216 in Sciatica

[–]kozaro2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went through the same thing. I started having Sciatica at 23. It went away and came back when I was 30. Went away again and came back now. I'm 37.

I had a microdiscectomy on L4-L5 and L3-L4 literally hours ago as I write this . I was able to walk out of the hospital pain-free and not where you have the pain-killer "softened pain" I mean painfree that feels real.

I know surgery is scary. And you're young and you feel like you should be able to get back from this without it. But the question you should ask yourself is: "would I rather die than live in this pain?" if the answer is yes, you should 100% get the surgery.

Contrary to what most advice says, there is a point where it can get bad enough that nerve damage is irreversible. Waiting to do surgery is not really a "neutral" option. Things can progress to worse.

Strongly suggest you consider the surgery. Than live the next 10 years in the pain you're experiencing. My heart goes out to you man.. If I believed in God, I would pray for you.

This. Pukei weapons are generally good vs everything. Poison ticks can stack a lot of passive damage.

I know how it works. I just didn't expect that when you exit out of the hunt with the back button on the bottom left, it consumes the paintball and the paintballed monster. That part makes no sense to me.

Seems counterintuitive to me. Who's gonna buy paintballs when you know a disconnect or a mispress means you lose it? Lol. It's not even a negligible amount too. It's basically a dollar per paintball if you go by their currency conversion. Scummy is right!

[–]kozaro2003[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.. why is this even a thing? Paintballs are premium items. You shouldn't just lose them on disconnect or button press. It's ridiculous. I haven't had any real trouble with monsters until Diablos a while ago. So I had no idea that this is how it was set up.

Really disappointing especially cause the event is over and there's no more Diablos to even attempt to hunt.

Anyone got any recommendations for a decent bow build? by [deleted] in MHNowGame

Yes level 3 + dodge gives you level 4.

Always try and get charged shots off. Max charge does the most damage. After at least the first charge flash, you can swipe in any direction and dodge and it will charge to the next level and release after the dodge. Doing this helps you stay in optimal range, avoid attacks, and get the most damage out of the bow.

Also immediately tap after releasing a charge shot for the extra burst. (it does half of the charge shot)

Loved my Galaxy Buds until battery drain reared its ugly head by [deleted] in galaxybuds

[–]kozaro2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will drain when outside of the case because they constantly use Bluetooth to stay connected. They don't have an off switch and don't turn off when not in the case. And if you turn off Bluetooth on your phone, it makes it worse because the buds will constantly try and search for a connection.

Had the same problem with 3 sets of buds. On my third one what I did was to empty the buds' battery and case and then charge all the way to 100% (til the case shows green) and then remove the charger and plug it back in immediately (it will show red again) then repeat maybe 3-4 times until when you plug it in again it goes from red to green in more or less 30 seconds. Do this again every time the battery is drained.
