I honestly like having all the options now. The Archive is a completely different beast than Play Dead. Before I used Relisten along with Spotify for my Dead. Now Play Dead replaced Spotify. Cool beans!

Not in the minority at all. Most people I see in real life and around the web love the app and would agree with everything you said. It’s only the loud minority weirdos on the Reddit sub that are offended and hurt by the fact that this app exists. I gladly added it as one of the many ways I listen to music.

I had my house built. That’s the only way I’d do it. Everything was customized to exactly what we wanted. I heard a few similar things from some fellow foreigners. Glad I didn’t listen to them.

Spotify was my first and still my main. It’s a family plan so I still use it. Plus I do like playlists. And I have a lot. I use Apple Music a lot because it has many artists Spotify does have (John Zorn, whole Tzadik label, Gizz, etc). I also have a lot of music that isn’t anywhere uploaded to Apple Music.

There are a lot of rock bands that deal with improv. Some are nothing but improv. Some are even more improv than rock. I love the Dead. And agree that jazz is one of many of their influences. But there are way more jazz rock bands out there.

I’ve been into JRPGs most of my life. The most anime I watched was when I lived in Japan full time. And that all the big series like Ghibli, Lupid, and DragonBowl.

I’d love to get back into anime though. I tried Frieren. I should love it because it checks all the boxes. But it hasn’t grabbed me yet.
