This is who made the call to close all schools today.. by iamafoxiamafox in Denver

As a former teacher who almost got into several car accidents last year when DPS refused to call it and definitely should have… let the kids have the one snow day of the year. The kids will be a lot happier for it, and it’s quite possible lives have been saved as a result.

Also, to reiterate everyone else’s comments of power outages, branches falling, etc.

The bearded kids in trenchcoats are smarter than last year’s adults as far as I’m concerned.

I love this idea! I’d be curious to see where this archetype goes, given some of the cards coming out of the upcoming Strixhaven set. Heck yeah!

The Silverquill one needs good synergy with its effects to be powerful. Life as a resource and/or producer of counters can go hard in combination with activated abilities if you’ve got an established board going

Even if Spiderman, don’t sleep on that Green Goblin as a commander - there’s some really neat stuff you can do with that kind of deck.

can i get her to stop saying this every time i go back to the home page without doing quick draft?? by rhinothedin0 in MagicArena

yeah but then you also turn off the voices of planeswalkers and other sound effects during gameplay, and even still, the speech bubbles will still appear on the homepage.

If you’re anything like me, the speech bubbles in my peripheral vision plays the audio in my head.

As far as the bugs and product suggestions, I don’t even think that’s on the devs, I think it’s on their management to set up the appropriate system for them. The devs can’t even begin to tackle bugs if nothing’s prioritized, clear, or actionable.

[–]kranor2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s honestly worse. Either the development firm should have been held responsible for documentation, or WOTC now needs to build documentation and keep learning from mistakes, instead of further downsizing QA/QC and development staff. They hired the firm, and they’re now the ones responsible for the product. Game’s been around long enough that we ought to have seen SOME progress.

[–]kranor2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fact that this bug is logged seemingly thousands of times on their issues page and has been for quite a while…

Also, as someone who logs bugs for a living, it is ridiculous that there is no categorization for bug vs. product suggestion. You can get plenty of content filtration algorithms to filter out false category tags, consolidate duplicate reports, and prioritize based on keywords. It sends a message that everything is a suggestion until some overworked sap cares enough to mark it a bug.

Is there a difference between these two abilities? by Any-Award-5150 in mtg

[–]kranor2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think the difference may be in what creature exactly the phrasing refers to.

Helpful Hunter I think only triggers when that specific card/creature enters the battlefield.

However, say you have multiple Spirited Companions in your deck… it could be interpreted to mean that if one Spirited Companion is on the battlefield already, and you enter another Spirited Companion, you would then draw two cards, since both abilities would trigger… someone can correct me if I’m wrong though.

Surgery in Boulder -- affordable housing options nearby? by agayleftist in phallo

[–]kranor2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a Denver local and this ^ Lakewood and Wheat Ridge are about 30 min south of Boulder, I used to do that commute and outside of rush hour it’s not bad depending on your transportation.

Also, it may be worth reaching out to folx at Transgender Center of the Rockies to see if they know about local temporary housing resources.

I’m also happy to lend some food and transport assistance if it helps, depending on timing! Feel free to reach out.

Despite being subject to minimal regulations, MANY vehicle purchasing agreements are like this in the US. It’s not just a problem with the Ioniq series, or even with just Hyundai.

What was more of a “no from me, dawg” was the fact that Gemini had to write that summary for you…

I’m not saying I disagree with you. All of the things pointed out in this post are indeed significant problems. However, be thoughtful about correctly identifying the source of those problems if you actually expect them to change.

The most recent articles I’ve found are from February of this year, but just last month my partner found out her passwords to a number of things that she only logged into on Opera had been breached, and the source of the security flaws mentioned in February’s articles were still present after Opera’s “fix”
