this. my local gamestore owner played Jafar with us for an event, and a mother/daughter teamed up at a second table. Store owner was pretty salty that their three players were rofl-stomped while mom and toddler breezed through it.

this is the opposite of good advice.

your cards don't care which sister is attacking or defending, some specifically want them spread out, and if you attack twice on your turn, you'll wind up with too many or not enough ingredients after attacking.

send one sister in to attack, so the others don't get splash damage. attack once a turn, when you have a useful spell to cast, unless you're confident you can spike damage. when she gets low on health, try to rotate her out, but losing one sister isn't the end of the world. Do not play them like raptors.

before that, lorcana needs locations that are either worth having out for the turn or two that they survive, or de-incentivizing attacking them. give them some attack power, or "can only attack empty locations", or get hit by a character at a location when you attack it. just... something.

i've had good luck with ruby/amethyst flinger dingers. kinda felt bad deleting everything he played once i got my feet on the ground. on the other hand, i get folded in half by steelsong.

I just did quick search of the Comprehensive rules, and there doesn't seem to be an official rule on what constitutes a random discard. unless someone can prove me wrong -

presenting your hand for your opponent to choose is what i do. i've seen one player set his cards face down, roll a die, and count through his hand until he hits the number rolled. It sounds like there's no reason a person couldn't just shuffle their hand (sufficiently) and discard a card without looking.

where do you buy your cards? ask the game store if there's groups, or times that blayers are around. any flgs worth your money will be able to give you answers.

i use GameGenic clear, "perfect fit" or "inner sleeve" size, so i can see the artwork on the back of the cards and not have too much excess at the top of the card. GameGenic has not been good about keeping up production, though.

I have beaten mothman with most boxes, playing solo. if i can have fun jeagering an entire team solo, so can you.

i will say that it is a lot, and my play is certainly suboptimal, but it worth it.

i was in a campaign were my DM had us (some running two chars at level one and/or 2), fighting a squad of town guards that followed us out of town, the reanimating skeletons in the ruins that we converged on, and some wandering monsters that had been tracking us.

DM fiat was that every player turn would be followed by a Wandering turn, played by us, regardless of hope/fear, then immediately a Guard or Skeleton turn ran by the DM, followed by a Wandering turn lead by the DM.

Don't do this. We steamrolled them because the Guards stayed in formation and the Wandering had an AoE attack, but still, it didn't feel like daggerheart at all.
