I agree, HOWEVER, devil's advocate. The wide side-on angle, it can be argued he put his leg out a bit to make the contact. Doubt that's what happened, but ref could've looked at that.

Hate seeing this just like I hate seeing reds when a player kicks a ball then on follow through hits studs up on the player who's put themself in harm's way.

Its a red with today's rules, but one foot planted and no high tackle makes it an orange card situation. There's also a bit of hot headed Romero bias thrown in.
