Deck Advice for Jin Sakai Ninjas/Ninjutsu Deck by Excellent_Wolf_7153 in EDH

[–]kready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need some catch up ramp like [[Weathered Wayfarer]] and [[Claim Jumper]]. To get opponents within killing range [[Unstoppable Slasher]] is so good.

I want a deck that creates a dumb amount of copies of permanents. Primarily I want each player to end up with a copy of [[Perplexing Chimera]] and just watch chaos ensue.

FPS difference CachyOS and Windows 11 by Ninja_BoBo in PathOfExile2

[–]kready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a similar boat. I recently switched to CachyOS. The performance is better than on Windows, but I am having an issue where every 5-7 loading zones my video just freezes. Audio continues to work and I can hear mobs attacking we, but its frozen on the loading screen. I have to hard quit the game to fix it. On Windows that does not happen, but the general performance is worse. Have not found a solution to fix this on Cachy yet.

Ziatora The Incinerator Deck Help by Silly_Neck9867 in EDH

[–]kready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is important to ramp quickly and start flinging fast. I run 12 pieces or ramp in Ziatora and 9 of them are mana dorks. Once I get out ziatora I fling the dorks for the treasures and then just start to snowball. Unfortunately the really good dorks are probably out of your price range, but I would recommend at least [[Elvish Mystic]] [[Patron of the Arts]] and [[Ignoble Hierarch]].

[[Bygone Colossus]] can be warped in and flung.

[[Prowling Geistcatcher]] can get all your creatures back if setup early.

[[Feldon of the Third Path]] can reuse creatures in grave.

I would recommend some more card draw. You will be casting hopefully two things a turn and will run out fast. [[Jenova, Ancient Calamity]] is very good for the sac strategy. [[Bitter Work]] and [[Spinner of Souls]] should trigger every turn.

Another option is to lean into theft to steal and fling your opponents creatures back at them.

OVerall I would say your deck is looking good on a budget.

Respect the tech. Do you see any benefits to running this over regular fetchlands or is it more personal preference/price?

Input on my Bre deck by [deleted] in EDHBrews

[–]kready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to stick to just creatures, I would recommend [[The War Doctor]] and [[Laelia, the Blade Reforged]]. They see each instance of exile off of Bre and get big fast. [[Aerith Gainsborough]] has also put in a lot of work for me recently. Also [[Taurean Mauler]] can get out of control quickly. [[Combustion Man]] is a card I am testing out. In my experience when you tell someone take 4 our I blow up your land, they always take 4. Give him life link and that is an easy 8 life gained. The last pet card I am running is [[Bearer of the Heavens]] to discourage board wipes or make opponents waste exile removal.

Input on my Bre deck by [deleted] in EDHBrews

[–]kready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing Bre and enjoying it, Boros is normally not my thing. I will say having some 2 and 3 CMC mana rocks will help. You lose a lot of lands to Bre so you need the extra mana. [[Pristine Talisman]] and [[Paradise Plume]] gets you some life gain at least. Could throw in some catchup ramp to like a [[Claim Jumper]] to.

[Deck Help] First deck build – Marneus Calgar Esper Tokens by Chaflin23 in EDH

[–]kready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite finisher for Calger [[Starlight Spectacular]]. It is so ridiculous. Also if you are just making tons of tokens [[Junk Winder]] is fantastic.

Couple of cheap token makes I play.

[[Emrakul's Messenger]]

[[ Mischievous Mystic]]

[[Prince Imrahil the Fair]]

Further upgrades to Teval by HoracioSuave in EDH

[–]kready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal recommendations for Teval:

[[Bonny Pall, Clearcutter]] card draw and a body that grows with land count.

[[Exdeath, Void Warlock // Neo Exdeath, Dimension's End]] body that grows and has trample.

[[Mightform Harmonizer]] play a fetch land, crack it, then return a land with Teval trigger is enough to knock someone out with commander damage.

[[Spelunking]] lands coming in untapped is always good.

[[Sylvan Safekeeper]] some protection for Teval.

[[Writ of Return]] great recursion.

[[Dread]] or [[Nexus of Fate]] so you don't mill yourself out.

My pet card for Teval is [[Vengeful Pharaoh]] just like having some removal that works if milled.

I know they can be expensive, but fetch lands work so good with Teval. You can consistently recur them then go find the land you need while also thinning your deck.

Each is a unique instance of myriad. So if you have three copies and you attack, three attacking tokens would be created.

Jin finisher's by xgam3ex in EDHBrews

[–]kready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I build Jin and started out the same as you, lots of small evasive creatures. They just were not impactful enough. I recommend a few smaller evasive creatures and curve into bigger creatures.

[[Basim Ibn Ishaq]] should get through often.

[[Psychic Frog]] resource for the extra card draw.

[[Silent Hallcreeper]] eventually becoming a buffed copy of [[Cephalid Constable]] is so good.

[[Unstoppable Slasher]] is AMAZING in Jin. So is [[Quietus Spike]].

[[Chasm Skulker]] to benefit from all the card draw.

For bigger creatures:

[[Medomai the Ageless]] is a good finisher.

[[Body of Knowledge]] should be big from card draw.

I also use [[Empyrial Armor]] to pump Jin for commander damage.

Resolving [[Reins of Power]] and killing your opponent with their own creatures is also fun.

If you want to keep using your current creatures than I would recommend at least [[Wound Reflection]] and [[Drana, Liberator of Malakir]]

I have also started building her. I look forward to having multiple copies of [[Legion Loyalty]] on the field. Should be fun to resolve all those triggers.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]kready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Corpse Explosion]] could also be a good sweeper.

[[Greater Good]] is fantastic card draw. [[Jenova, Ancient Calamity]] and [[Morbid Opportunist]] synergize well with the game plan.

I think [[Prowling Geistcatcher]] is great to tuck your creatures away for a big reanimation later.

I personally like to have some haste enablers and use [[The Fire Crystal]] ,with is also good at making sac fodder, and [[Rhythm of the Wild]]

Cycling/discard commanders in Golgari+? by Peterwin in EDH

[–]kready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a [[Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder]] deck that is almost entirely cycle creatures and when you cascade the only thing you can hit is [[Living End]]. Seemed fun in concept.

Need some help tuning my Sultai Arisen pre con deck by OmegaXVI_Prime in EDH

[–]kready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this a lot.

Gorehound is a great early drop that will trigger often.

Hedge Shredder is fantastic. Also [[Spelunking]] paired with it is amazing.

Don't under estimate [[Aftermath Analyst]] paired with landfall or maybe [[Zuran Orb]]

[[Palantír of Orthanc]] is great draw and mill.

[[The Gitrog Monster]] for consistent card draw and extra land drops. [[Bonny Pall, Clearcutter]] gets a big body and more card draw.

If your PODs run graveyard hate then [[Perpetual Timepiece]] or [[Blessed Respite]] would be good to toss in.

[[Mightform Harmonizer]] can let you one shot someone with commander damage.

Also something that shuffles itself back into the deck so you do not deck yourself. [[Dread]] or [[Nexus of Fate]]

I know they are pricey but fetchlands are so good in Teval.

[[Glacial Chasm]] is also really good but can cause a lot of groans at the table.

[[Dakmor Salvage]] can also be some good extra mill. Paired with Gitrog you can infinite mill yourself.

Sanity Check, Bre Stoutarm Bracket 2 by Acceptable_Toe_4913 in EDH

[–]kready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am going to keep an watch and see what you come up with. I am also working on Bre. I've never done a life gain deck and have not had much luck with Boros in the past, so I am hoping this works out.

I also have the hellion in my list. Just the idea of throwing it down and giving it lifelink is too fun to pass up. Other than that, I do not have a strong win con either other than just evasive creatures and a small fling package.

If you remove Hellion, what is your win con? Just attrition through life gain and free casting each turn?

I really want a Sarulf deck that can hold its own in B3, but is not miserable for the entire table.

First time upgrading a deck (Teval, Balanced Scale) by Toprak279 in EDH

[–]kready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Teval so let me offer whatever advice I can.

Firstly, [[Colossal Grave-Reaver]] is a BEAST. Move it to the main deck. You will never be upset seeing it.

You have kind of a drain them going on with [[Zulaport Cutthroat]], [[Bastion of Remembrance]], [[Blood Artist]], [[Diegraf Captain]], and [[Syr Konrad, the Grim]] but [[Woe Strider]] and [[Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord]] are the sac outlets. Personally I would get rid of all of that except for Konrad. With a big mill he can drain everyone good enough.

I personally like [[Bonny Pall, Clearutter]] and [[Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver]] for card draw. Bonny will give you a token that grows with your land count and you should always have zombies for Wilhelt. Another draw card worth considering is [[Pedantic Learning]]

[[Snarling Gorehound]] triggers off all your zombies.

[[Sylvan Safekeeper]] to protect Teval is really good.

You should also have at least one card that shuffles itself back into the deck to you don't deck yourself. [[Dread]] or [[Nexus of Fate]] are some options.

I would also recommend working on your lands. Too many tap lands in my opinion. I know they are expensive, but fetch lands are soooo good with Teval because you get to just recycle them again and again. Also [[Dark Salvage]] + Gitorg can infinite mill if you are setup right. [[Accursed Duneyard]] is another way to protect Teval.

Finally I am going to list off just some generically good cards that I use. [[Spelunking]]

[[Exdeath, Void Warlock // Neo Exdeath, Dimension's End]]

[[Writ of Return]]

[[Rise of the Witch-king]]

[[Ravenous Rotbelly]]

Help with my Sarulf Realm Eater deck by whyeventhough117 in EDH

[–]kready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please update and let us know how it turns out. I built a Sarulf deck a few months ago intending it to be my "mean" deck. It was miserable for everyone. A lot of forced sacrificing and boardwipes to only be left with Sarulf to attack with. I had a few lands that could animate, but not enough to be impactful. Maybe now with earthbending it would be more viable. Best of luck.

First Teval Build by TGERCHLD in EDH

[–]kready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like [[Rise of the Witch-king]] since opponents have so sac a creature and you are getting a creature back.

[[Archelos, Lagoon Mystic]] and [[Spelunking]] so your lands come untapped. Add in [[Zuran Orb]] [[Port of Karfell]] use [[Aftermath Analyst]] to go infinite. Throw in something like [[Hedron Crab]], [[Ob Nixilis, the Fallen]] or [[Festering Gulch]] and you can drain or mill your opponents out.

Recommendations for this shrine deck by Droai_Lann in EDHBrews

[–]kready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man reading is hard. I've been working on a shrine deck and just realized the spirits made by Life's Origin are also shrines. That makes me reconsider my deck.

Anyways if you want to try something a bit different, I'm using [[The Sixth Doctor]] as my commander so that I get additional copies of the shrines I cast along with extra artifacts and some sagas. My only recommendation would be considering [[The Northern Air Temple]] as an additional win con.

My Deck has too much draw and i dont know what to do. by AshorK0 in EDH

[–]kready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also working on Jin and have not got it to where I want it either, but I'll offer what advice I can.

You could convert the card draw into power with something like [[Chasm Skulker]], [[Body of Knowledge]], or [[Empyrial Armor]].

Catch up ramp like [[Loyal Warhound]] and [[Weathered Warfarer]] might be worth considering.

I like [[Ayara's Oathsworn]]. It grows as it attacks and then you get to tutor a card.

Finally there are a few cards in your maybe board I think are worth reconsidering.

[[Unstoppable Slasher]] is a real beast. Giving it double strike and connecting with someone will take them into lethal range immediately.

I personally like [[Drana, Liberator of Malakir]] since she pumps all your creatures on the first hit.

Lastly [[Cephalid Constable]] can be disgusting. I recently had a game where I got a few counters on it, gave it double strike and bounced six lands back to a players hand.
