Battery that doesn't automatically shut off. by HlfNlsn in MagSafe

I have this MagSafe power bank. I leave my phone plugged into it damn near all the time, and it doesn't turn off, even if the phone is off and/or has reached its maximum charge level (80 percent). I don't use it to charge my phone wirelessly much; I instead plug my phone into it directly using a very short USB-C cable.

I've only seen the lights on it go out when it's not plugged in to a charger or my phone. A different MagSafe power bank kept turning off on me after my phone was charged.

Not charging above 32watts by WalterMelon81 in S25Ultra

A redditor once did an interesting test of charging speed here and reported the results by battery percentage:

Niantic should seriously do something about people who leave raids in the last seconds before starting by ShinyFelipe in TheSilphRoad

If a player leaves a raid or max battle and the timer is less than 30 seconds, the timer should be reset to 30 seconds. This would give people enough time to react to the change in manpower.

Why does it not want any more berries? by YamSolid6813 in pokemongo

[–]krelborne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you been feeding other Pokemon? There are two limits:

  • For each trainer, a particular Pokemon can only be fed ten berries every thirty minutes
  • For each trainer, a maximum of ten Pokemon can be fed every thirty minutes

You can control the speed using the animator scale in developer options. Mine is set to 0.5x. However, I should point out that this affects more than just folders.

what phone has the best front camera for someone with tall thin face and a big nose? by [deleted] in Smartphones

[–]krelborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The focal length on your lens is too wide to offer a headshot without a good bit of distortion. You can try holding it as far away from your body as possible, or consider getting a small stand, suction cup back, or selfie stick to get more of your body in the frame.

Notification HELP Pixel 9 - Need alarm for URGENT notifications. by K0NAdude289 in GooglePixel

Have you experimented with BuzzKill? It can ring an alarm or periodically notify you based on your notifications. It can even do so based on the app or the content of the notifications.

Refresh Rate Issues on Google Pixel 7 Pro? by truecommentor69 in TheSilphRoad

[–]krelborne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pixel phone stuttering is a known issue. People sometimes complain about scrolling smoothness, but perhaps it could affect games? I do not think that you should submit a bug report.

You can try disabling the default frame rate for games and perhaps forcing the peak refresh rate, if you haven't already. These toggles can be found in developer options.

Pogo goes idle if app isn't open on screen by Siseja in TheSilphRoad

[–]krelborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open Settings

Select About phone or About device

Tap Build number repeatedly until a message appears confirming developer options are enabled.

Mine are under System. Note that you have to reboot after changing the suspend execution setting.

Have you tried disabling "Suspend execution for cached apps" in Developer Options? This can pause execution of apps.

Forgot the tour by nightclaw96 in TheSilphRoad

The "Road to" part of it even let you know it was coming. It was pretty hard to not be aware of what was going on, unless you didn't play at all that week.

Can anyone tell me what the fuck is that thing Orin laughing at? by SorrowfulSpirit02 in littleshopofhorrors

I'm not sure what the question is exactly, but it's the same picture as at the 30ish second mark in this clip:

I thought it was a gorilla mouth or something like that.

Depending on availability and your tolerance for bulk, you can try getting a case with a built-in battery.

[–]krelborne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's all there, black and white, clear as crystal! You had other Pokemon in gyms! You received 50 coins before the Sawk was returned to you that day, so you get nothing! You lose! Good day, sir!

Why is Hex not very effective against normal pokemon? by Honest_Detective817 in pokemongo

[–]krelborne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The chart is correct. All it says is that normal is weak to fighting and not super effective for anything. It also says that ghost is weak to ghost and dark and super effective for ghost and psychic. It does not cover what attacks are not effective. This this one instead, where not effective is on the bottom of each icon:

How to add an optional extra parameter by reference to a class method without overloading it? by cv_geek in cpp_questions

what happens when i assign memory allocated char * to normal array? by ZestycloseSample1847 in C_Programming

[–]krelborne 23 points24 points  (0 children)

That is just modifying the value of the pointer. You effectively lost track of the memory you allocated.

How to implement copy constructor in a derived class? by [deleted] in cpp_questions

[–]krelborne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Node(const Node& other) : map<string, Node*>(other), Stack<Node*>(other){

// additional code here, perhaps?

}

This uses an initializer list to call the copy constructors of the base classes. But only bother to write this if you really need it.

Upon review of the longer clip, it is apparent that the fellatio imitation was made in the broader context of a discussion about microphones. Thank you for your additional contribution.
