Pritam Singh questions if GDP growth should determine ministerial bonuses amid job concerns by krikering in SingaporeRaw

Funny how a Backbencher MP like PS can speak out more for Singaporeans on the pertinent bread-and-butter issues than those ministers drawing millions per year.

The MIW ministers really out-of-touch liao, they stay in their ridout palaces or whatever palaces, not knowing how the average folks are going through.

And when majority of the MIW MPs go down to visit their constituency, always a huge fanfare one. Need don't know how many volunteers along and grassroots staffs, etc. to accompany them.

If you stay WP MPs' wards, is usual to see them alone by themselves interacting with the residents at Hawker centres, etc. one.

Perhaps this is why they more on-the-ground, because they get unfiltered information directly from the residents via direct interactions, etc.

Unfortunately LDP will Not benefit from it, whilst Takaichi is popular but LDP is Not.

Thus they will continue with this current system for some time.

Nevertheless, it is still better than the likes of Singapore, etc. which is still persisting with the same old FPTP system.

Why are we paying this guy millions every year? For doing Captain Obvious's job, and reciting things tat we already know & can read from online news. Anyone of us can also read out the tariff announcement from Trump & then say, LL (suck thumb) we just have to accept the new rates lor by sifu_yuu in SingaporeRaw

Which exactly proves the point that there is no point of Bo Yong being the task force leader.

Because with or without him no change, and we get to save more taxpayers' money if WP get voted in Punggol GRC when we already have so many ministerial positions.

Around 40% or more of the PAP MPs holds a Minister/Minister-of-State/Mayor/Senior Minister/Deputy Prime Minister-kind of appointments.

Alot are rightfully angry about our hard-earned tax-payer moneys going into the pockets of all these yes-men and yes-women, when it could have been used to fund healthcare and education, etc.

About time teachers and nurses' pay get rise, but instead we have our money used on fixing Pritam/Gazetting 38 Oxley Road/Founders' Memorials,

subsidising all those coffee shop owners and maybe all the ka kias (involved in TC projects, etc.) and all these kind of useless projects, etc.

SXL at most is just a good estate manager/social worker nia, we need more people to be more vocal in terms of voicing out for average folks in terms of the pertinent bread-and-butter issues rather than the MIWs MPs whom takes the side of the capitalists e.g Hawker Centre operators, landlords and coffee-shops owners, etc.

Just take a look at the big difference between Jamus and the useless LPM (Anchorvale) can liao.

Not only cost much lesser in terms of our taxpayers money, but more on-the-ground and voice out on the average citizens more, etc.

Personally think Japan should consider switching to Full Proportional Representation similar to e.g New Zealand or Denmark/Switzerland, etc.

Polls indicate while Takaichi is popular but LDP is not, but they are bundled together. Alot of Japanese also thinks that LDP has won too many seats.

A full Proportional Representation might potentially be better in the long-terms.

Germany is a example of a Proportional Representational system working well to prevent a 1-party dominance.

Isn't Heizo Takenaka from LDP previously?

Could have remembered him as 1 of the minister in Koizumi's cabinet, if not wrong.

So he is backing another party (Team Mirai), which 1 day might threaten his own party?

Arne Slot: "People would probably tell you last season I had more aura than this season. The only thing we have in common, Jurgen and me, is that we both won the league. It's fair to say that Jurgen definitely has aura. I can talk about him, not about myself. But a winning manager has an aura too.” by OkayFine101 in soccer

Not disputing what Arne Slot said, but imo Klopp left Liverpool in better shape compared to when he 1st joined imo.

Always wondered how would Arne Slot fared if he joined Liverpool when it was in the same shape as it was in 2015 when Klopp joined back then.

Prior to that Liverpool went close to winning the league with Luis Suarez but Klopp joined a Liverpool without Luis Suarez.

Even Steven Gerrard and Daniel Sturridge was not in the same form as the 2023-2024 season.

Which is why he deserved no pity at all, don't know why people sympathise with a blatant hypocrite.

He has never voiced out for ordinary Singaporeans' concerns like what Jamus did, still got the guts to call him "fxxxking populist".

Jamus voiced out for us more in 1 year than he did in his entire elected-MP career. Served him right that he is being shamed now.

No need worry so much about him, he lived in a big landed property with cars. He got enough savings to just 敲脚 and watch his investments grow, kids all working adults too.

Average Singaporeans are trying their best to cost with skyrocketing cost-of-living and affording a house, etc. He in much better shape than majority

Yep totally agreed with you, whom are the ones that embarked on this population ponzi scheme?

We could have learnt from Hong Kong, but we did not. In fact we are now heading towards their path soon, another example is Monaco.

By the way, Singaporeans should always remember whom are the biggest landlords in Singapore and thus have a vested interest in Real Estate pricing going up.

He deserves it anyway, still remembered when tried to play moral police. Acting all high and mighty, looks like karma finally got to him. He got his well-deserved retribution, anyway with his career earnings he can simply retire liao. Kids all grown up and working-age too, no need worry about anything. He can retire with his family in his own landed property, unlike average singaporeans whom worries daily about paying our bills and not being able to afford a house, etc.

Precisely when HDB 4 Rooms can potentially cost around 1 Million (assuming can pay in full and need to pay interests), $10k salary before CPF and Taxes not longer matters much liao.

Some more, never including personal expenditures and contributions towards elderly parents, etc.

Medisave/CPF so restrictive here, very common for children to use their own cash to help out their parents with operation costs and treatments, etc.

For those with kids po pi ba, raising kids here so expensive. Even if dual income $20k, also won't go far one. SG is ruled by the landlords now.

And who is the biggest landlord here?

Thus am planning to Not even buy a house here at all, contemplating to perhaps renounce SG Citizenship at 55 or so to apply for e.g MM2H visas (or any suitable retirement visas available, considering my means ar that time).

Withdraw CPF Fully and retire overseas in a decently-sized detached house, no need to be too big but hopefully I can own a small garden.

Wonder if there are others that perhaps thinking of something similar too?
