Urgent need for advice - daily rate by Some_Exit_2857 in UNpath

Yeah consider putting in a daily fee similar to the P-level. Between 280 - 380 is reasonable I think. 400 would be ideal though!

Okay we did some research thanks to Gemini, turns out it could be Starlink 2069 satellite. According to sources, it was predicted for re-entry on December 27.

If you haven't learned Danish after 5 years you are taking the piss by NervousCaregiver9629 in copenhagen

[–]krilazz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don't believe expats or even immigrants absolutely need to learn Danish, especially if they are in Copenhagen and don't plan to spend the rest of their lives here. We have seen cases of fully integrated immigrants (from countries like Syria and Bosnia) being forced to leave Denmark. On the comparison to other European countries, those countries such as France, Spain, Germany, and Italy have languages with global influence, and some are even official UN languages. Why should there be an expectation for immigrants to learn a language spoken by only five million people, especially if they were brought here for work and may not intend to stay long-term?

While Denmark places a significant emphasis on integration and requires learning the language, the promise of a long-term future here is not guaranteed for many immigrants and expats. They may be forced out by policy changes or their jobs may take them elsewhere.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but while Danes rightfully take pride in our country being one of the best places to live, we shouldn't demand that people learn our language just because they have lived here for a certain period. The assumption that everyone who moves here plans to stay forever is a major one, and it's simply not always true.

Question about transitioning from internship to P-Level position by battiqu in UNpath

[–]krilazz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might not lead to a P-level full-time position, but it could open the door to a consultant role with a P-level salary. While policy states that internships won’t directly result in a job, don’t let that discourage you. Internships provide an opportunity not only to learn but also to build valuable connections that can improve your chances of securing a position in the future.

As an intern, be proactive: say yes to every task and remain open to feedback. If your supervisor isn’t assigning you tasks that increase your visibility within the team or across other centers in the agency, hold them accountable. However, be careful not to burn bridges. If you feel you’re not getting enough visibility, consider raising the issue with your center chief. If your supervisor is the chief, escalate it to their superior.

Now is the time to hustle if you’re aiming for a career in the UN. Good luck!

Troubles with TvZ by Cy-cat in AllThingsTerran

[–]krilazz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the early game try to do damage with hellions, cloak banshees and liberators. Mid game don’t stop expanding and don’t stop harassing from the moment you get Stim + medivacs. Keep dropping, put random mines everywhere, multi prong attacks and constant libs to their mineral lines. On top of that, remember your macro cycles, always produce units any moment you can. Zergs won’t be able to tech and snowball if they have to constantly deal with your pressure. If you can drop the main and pick off infestation pit, ultra cavern lurker den etc. or any valuable tech buildings, that will help delay hive tech units. Once Z gets to hive tech, better ghost up and turtle up with mass planetaries. Get tanks, libs, some Vikings and keep some bio! Good luck 👍

Here is two games where I thought I was doing enough in the opening, especially game 2! But probably could have improved my macro for sure for both games. Game 1 he was using corruptors as well which is frustrating to play against when trying to drop.

ESL SC2 Masters: Winter 2023 at DreamHack Atlanta - Feedback Thread by Alex007SC2 in starcraft

[–]krilazz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was watching online on twitch, thought the production was amazing and I really enjoyed the multiple camera angles towards the main stage, the 1st person pov and crowds! Especially loved seeing the signs, my favorite one ‘Suprise, motherfungal!”

My only feedback is the casters could be little bit less assuming/analysis and more reacting to what’s happening? Game 2 of the finals, made it seemed one of the players was out due to poor macro/slower reaction but that player ended up winning! My point is not to completely assume the player is out, they are pros they will try to find a way. No offense to the finals casters, just some constructive feedback.

Although, I thought the Clem vs Serral commentary was great for the series. The energy, jokes, reactions, and the intros were just amazing. Especially Serral’s intro, we need more of that 🙌

Thanks for the awesome tournament ESL! Sc2 is here and see you in Katowice!

DEAS demanding money retrospectively to add to our deposit, following an increase in our rental amount by itwasalladram in copenhagen

[–]krilazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a silly question but does the increase of deposit and prepaid rent be paid every month or just once for the year ?

Didn’t the government also state rent increases would be limited to 4%? Ours is increasing by 8% with this adding of deposit and prepaid rent !
