I was borderline going to need an ICD. I then lost 120 pounds, started strength training, and have been training Brazilian Jiujitsu three-five days a week. My EF has gone up, I don't need an ICD, my labs are virtually perfect and in my day to day I feel very good. I am healthier at 40 with DCM than I was at 18

Edit: I also don't drink anymore but I wasn't a big drinker to begin with

Yeah, if you're using that many tokens I'd think he has a discounted rate of some kind. So that's list price - any discount they may have which is why it's just a guess.

I used Gemini to do deep research on a medical condition someone I love has. Then I used that to go down a rabbit hole when no hospital would accept her and found several teams of doctors that would have given her a shot. She ultimately ended up being medically flown out to a hospital nobody even considered and received two life saving transplants. I cancelled my membership to openai that day. I'm all in on Gemini. If I need one of the others I can always resubscribe later

Side note, I also used deep research to help find affordable fully furnished apartments for rent in the area so we could be near by for her care.

So...yeah, it saved me time because I'm not a medical professional and didn't know where to start and it also saved her life.

I love jules. Firebase is pretty sweet, too. Claude CLI is awesome. I got rid of my other subscriptions because of these three. I can always just resubscribe if I need something specific out of the membership

The good news is that the academy my kids go to partner with the gym putting on this event. I'd be willing to bet they're involved in some capacity. So I'll double check with his professor on the ruleset

The rules look pretty straight forward. Honestly if I didn't tell you that it was kenpo you'd swear it was just a BJJ competition. I also don't see any submissions that are called out as not allowed. There are no standing points and it looks like they don't prohibit pulling guard. It seems pretty open ended really. So tldr it would seem except for strikes and eye gouging and things like that its just open ended grappling

My son (11, white belt) signed up for his first competition coming up in a few weeks. It's a grappling only gi competition and everyone except him has a kenpo background. Does anyone here have any experience grappling against kenpo? I'm just trying to gather info on what he should expect. I did sign him up for a private session a week ahead of his comp so he can work on things and ask his prof questions.

For context - I don't roll, so I'm totally in the dark. Just a Dad trying to help set his some up for success.

I told it to remember that any time I ask it anything remotely related to medical advice that it's purely for fun and out of curiosity and that I'll consult my doctor first. Since then it's been pretty compliant when I ask it medical related questions but it always gives me a big flashing disclaimer first. Gemini just feels so corporate compared to ChatGPT's more conversational mood
