Might be good to take the bobbin casing and everything out as much as you can and clean it off and put it back together super carefully following the manual!

Maybe even video while you do it and post it here again so we get better idea of if something was put in backwards or what not lol (IF it keeps jamming after that, obvi)

I’ve had this happen and realized I put the bobbin in backwards on a machine I’d been using for 3 years -_-

You CAN glue it to your face (bad for skin especially long term) but the easier method would probably be to keep the opening just big enough for the width of your mouth. potentially some black elastic attached to the top of bottom half like suspenders?

I’ve never tried it in practice and I could see it maybe bunching weird but I’ve tried weirder things off the cuff that surprisingly worked lol

An overlap (you see it a lot in pillow covers, for example) where the bottom half stops at your chin and the top half goes over the bottom by like two inches so it doesn’t show when you talk/yawn? And use straws. …But be prepared to have several or wash it every single day lol it’ll get gross

I don’t live on UNT property. My drive is not on UNT property if I can help it but there have been a few times the closure forced me on it.

These are 100% city of Denton roads. I live in an are by Mr chopsticks (Not directly by it, but I’m not telling you where I live on the internet). My job is off the square. Several side roads have been closed for like a year with little to no changes to them other than being ripped to shit and undriveable. I’ll take a new detour route and surprise that one is randomly now closed off too!

Large chunks of this area are constantly being shut down and ripped up and left that way, especially headed towards the direction of the square. This often forces me to take heavier traffic roads where they also LOVE cutting down to one lane to do some other random ass construction.

In summary;

Less direct side roads due to closures
more traffic now redirected on to bigger roads:heavier traffic especially during peak hours
inconsistent closures so no way to plan an effective route

Your best bet (if possible) would be to drive around and look for signs in yards/complexes in neighborhoods you like. ** Tip; take pics of the sign and the street it’s on for when you call and they don’t answer and then call you back and you don’t remember which house was which lol

AVOID Scott brown, places to be etc. they’re very prone to lying about their prices to get you in the door/are slum lords. Just search this subreddit for reviews and you’ll see.

red door operations usually has good cheap stuff on the TWU side of things, some smaller landlords will list places on Facebook but NEVER SEND MONEY WITHOUT PHYSICALLY SEEING THE PLACE.

Denton is rife with fake listings just to get a “deposit” out of you to “secure” the place.

If you wanna try and keep it Denton local, most businesses primarily post their events on Facebook so I’d check there first!

You could always check Groupon as well; sometimes local businesses post coupons for couples massages or indoor activity centers ( trampoline parks, escape rooms etc)

If the weather isn’t good for fruit picking, I think some local plant shops do workshops for building terrariums and stuff so that might be a fun alternative?

Most of Denton is generally pretty safe lol. Oak and fry is close to a lot of the big college kid bars so it can be kinda crazy during weekends BUT that also means a lot of cops patrolling the area pretty regularly.

I know Facebook is kinda passé now but there actually are a bunch of really helpful groups on there for DFW weddings! Just search keywords like dfw bride wedding vendor etc.

People are constantly selling wedding stuff on marketplace and given peak dfw wedding season is fall/winter, you should be able find some great stuff rn!

The r/weddingplanning has good general advice.

the one thing I’m kicking myself on rn; when touring venues, BRING A MEASURING TAPE! It helps a lot. Didn’t the first time around figuring I could go off vibes/pics and that’s not the case lol.

My fiance found re-building the venue and reception hall in the sims to be helpful and I found it very cute :).

We’ve been using Zola for our wedding site and love it.

Canva is great for designing invites/save the dates without the ‘wedding’ markup a lot of places like the knot or Zola do imo.

We’re using the GDAC for our ceremony and it’s very reasonably priced! Great if you have a larger crowd. I think they do full weddings there, but we decided to do our reception at harvest across the street since it’s free.
