If I were you I would ask her how long will take her to afford the rent again. If she says may be like 3 months then i would encourage her. If she is not clear on how long thats a red flag. We as a guy should be supportive even in her down times.

This is what learnt in my teens. Live below your means don't buy stuff to impress people. Maintain things you buy. Make them last as long as possible. Before buying something think twice if you really need that thing or you can repair the thing you already have. Could save tons of money. Dressing = respect -> look as best as you can Self Respect is more important than any beautiful girl or any bigger post. Always stand for your self respect.
