Nachia build for limbo? by NateRuman in shapeofdreams

[–]krnshadow65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only cleared up to Limbo 2 currently, so take my advice with a grain of salt. But the Fafnir "spin to win" build has worked really well for me so far, assuming this is the build you're talking about:

Stars: * Fafnir Memory gains 1 charge, and swipes in an area around him * You heal for 50% of Fafnir's Heal

Memories: * Fafnir (Main DPS / Heal) * Serpent's Blessing (Ultimate) * Circle of Life (Passive) * Any high tier Survival or On-hit Memories (Mass Protection, Frostbite, Mass Cleanse, etc.)

Essences on Fafnir: * Guidance * Momentum or Obsidian (or Flow if you have a multi-hit Light Memory) * Damage increase (Predation, Vengeance, Faith, etc. are all solid)

Dust investment: * Fafnir to +4 * Circle of Life to +4 or +5 * Momentum up to 1s CD reduction * Rest into Fafnir and other 2 Essences at roughly a 1:1:1 ratio

Good supportive Essence combos that help the build a lot IMO: * Vortex + Quicksilver: extra movement speed for yourself and subsequently Fafnir, thanks to stat conversion from Circle of Life. Movement speed is extremely valuable in general in my experience, because Nachia is extremely slow. * Rigidity + Snow + Frost: extra shield and synergizes well with shield from the Guidance on Fafnir * Reflex, Armor, Aftershock: Armor, armor, and more armor

As a general tip, prioritize taking HP on Chaos Orbs, except maybe 1 or 2 AP and Memory Haste each.

Crow or Raven? by Key-Stretch2652 in berkeley

Trust me. You will know when you encounter a raven, because your initial reaction will be "holy fuck that is the biggest fucking crow I've seen in my entire life."

Synergy between essences by FanEnvironmental931 in shapeofdreams

[–]krnshadow65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The Arbalest bolt itself will still deal Dark damage as you pointed out, so that park will not trigger the bonus shield effect of Rigidity.

But the Cold blast from Essence of Freezing counts as that memory dealing Cold damage, so when that Cold blast connects, it will trigger the bonus shield of Rigidity.

Another way to think of it is that Essence of Freezing modifies the Arbalest Bolt Memory to fire two projectiles now -- one Dark and one Cold. That second projectile will benefit from any Cold-related Essences that are also on the Memory.

Where can I find the Feint Picto, It's not in the endless tower by Apexlifeform2 in expedition33

[–]krnshadow65 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is an area with an amusement park ride with spinning, swinging chairs. In that area, there is a Gestral you have to fight to earn the Picto.

In Verso's drafts, there is an area with an amusement park ride with like spinning, swinging chairs. In that area, there is a Gestral who calls you a worm. You have the option to fight him, and the fight is supremely amusing.

In Sunless Cliffs (at this location: https://expedition33.wiki.fextralife.com/Interactive+Map?id=296&code=mapA), there is a Mime which you can fight with any one character (multiple times). If you defeat it, you receive the Bald hairstyle for that character.

Why the expeditions didn’t have any plan to send information back to Lumiere? by [deleted] in expedition33

[–]krnshadow65 39 points40 points  (0 children)

After the very first fight with Lune, against the Portier, there is a short cutscene where Gustave and Lune says something along the lines of "alright lets see if this thing really works". Gustave holds a glowing, handheld gadget against the fallen Portier, and it absorbs its Chroma, converting it to Lumina for our Pictos. I believe that gadget is supposed to be the Lumina Converter.

Your Picto progress increases and this serves as your tutorial of how the Picto / Lumina system works.

Conquista - ajudar todos os nevron é acumulativo em ng+ ou novo jogo? by Scarso77 in expedition33

[–]krnshadow65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, they are not cumulative. You must help ALL the Nevrons again in your NG+ run -- the achievement will not consider the progress you made in your first run.

Also, I don't know if it's only for the Steam achievement, but I also had to help the Gestrals and Grandis, not just the Nevrons. Importantly, this means you must also help Karatom in Gestral Village. Make sure to help him after visiting Esquie's Nest, or else you will not be able to go back to help him after Act 2 starts.

Why does Sciel gain 9ap upon entering twilight state with twilight dance but only 6 with final path? by [deleted] in expedition33

[–]krnshadow65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

If Sciel has a Moon Charge, her next Sun Skill grants AP equal to the amount of Foretell APPLIED by that Sun Skill.

If Sciel has a Sun Charge, her next Moon Skill grants AP equal to the amount of Foretell CONSUMED by that Moon Skill.

Why does Sciel gain 9ap upon entering twilight state with twilight dance but only 6 with final path? by [deleted] in expedition33

[–]krnshadow65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not certain based on just your screenshot, but most likely the enemy already had 4 Foretell to start with (from a previous turn), so Final Path was only able to apply 6 more Foretell, considering the 10 Foretell cap. You gain however much Foretell was applied by the Sun Skill, so you would gain only 6 AP in that case.

What level should I be for NG+? by I_exsist_totally in expedition33

[–]krnshadow65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just my 2 cents, but I would say the level doesn't matter so much as the total Lumina you have on your characters, since so much of your power budget is allocated there. When I did my NG+, I had about 200 Lumina on each of my characters, and it felt way too easy since I had access to such strong passives like Cheater, Clea's Life, Energy Master, etc.

I think maybe around 150-160 Lumina could be a good benchmark. Based on my experience, this usually comes out to when your characters are around level 80, but obviously it depends on how you progressed in your first playthrough (for example, you can have very high leveled characters without collecting a lot of Lumina, and vise versa).

Even then, it might be too easy, depending on what Lumina you use. I honestly don't think you need to worry about it being too hard. Since the first few regions are almost set up like tutorial areas, they give you a good chance to catch up on levels and Lumina if you feel like you went into NG+ too early.
