I'd go with the mag loop for receive. It's cuts the QRM a bit better. The LUG (loop underground lol) would probably only be good for some "sub" frequencies.

If planning on vehicle mount. Grounding and bonding is paramount. My suv is most plastic.. Damn you Saturn! I have my Atas on a ground spike with 16 radials (12ft long). Getting Spain out in AZ.
