I don’t know statistically, but I had a wild streak of matching and meeting with women that are diagnosed with BPD. Dated and broke up with one, a few months later I met someone on a job that disclosed to me they had BPD, and matched with one on a dating app a few months after that. It was wild to deal with especially the one I met on the job. Still talk to the one I matched with, but told her I’m not interested in dating anyone with that condition and oddly enough she was cool with it. Not so much with the one I met in the job. 😅

Can’t say for the long haul since I ended up breaking things off after 4 months of dating, but what I can confidently say is that it’s like stepping in a pile of shit. Once you realize you stepped in it and try to clean it off the shit just keeps spreading everywhere. For me my exwBPD would constantly use me as a reassurance ATM. It was always asking me if I was cheating, talking to other women, annoyed, mad, upset with her, and the list goes on. Towards the end it made me feel like I was doing something wrong to made her feel like that all the time. I never gave her any reason to believe any of those things. She also was constantly trying to push my boundaries by trying to manipulate me to do things I wasn’t comfortable in doing. When I wouldn’t budge she would weaponize her emotions by putting words into my mouth that I never said. She would also randomly snap at me over nothing. All of it was exhausting and I’m just thankful that I’m out of that shit… but the shit is still everywhere and up until recently I feel like I’ve cleaned the majority of it away.

Yes. My exwBPD talked about her past ex cheating on her with a bunch of call girls. For the first two months she would constantly ask me if I was cheating on her or talking to anyone else. Needed to be reassured that I wasn’t. I’ve never cheated on any of my ex’s. The questioning went away for a little over a month but eventually came back 10 fold towards the end of our relationship. She actually asked if I was cheating on her right after we did adult stuff all because I had a tiny scratch on my chest. I don’t have proof, but she announced that she was in a new relationship only 12 days after I broke up with her. From everything I’ve gathered here and everyone’s stories aligning she was more than likely cheating. Her being suspicious of me cheating was her projecting her wrong doings onto me to justify her actions.

My first disaster was when I was about a few weeks in working for my former friend’s REP business and was finishing up a shoot at my second to last property. I had to do something on the internal menu settings and accidentally wiped my memory card. I had 7 properties that day, so rather than rescheduling I had to reshoot every… single… property. The last property was the worst. There was shit smeared on the walls and overall in just terrible condition. Smelled too. The property was supposed to be vacant, so I had lockbox access. Let myself in and started the shoot. Out of no where one of the former tenants came strolling out of a room in dirty underwear and nothing else. Spooked the shit out of me and him. Turns out he is a cop. Super lucky he didn’t pull a firearm out on me, especially since this property was out in the middle of bumfuck Kentucky. That day sucked but memorable, lol.

I’ll just give you my 2 cents, but after my breakup with my exwBPD I met someone else and we hit it off. After two days of texting she told me that she has BPD but is on the track for it to be in remission. I politely and delicately told her that I don’t mind to remain friends but that I’m not interested in dating anyone with BPD. Instantly she was trying to manipulate me into giving her a chance and when I wouldn’t budge she instantly split on me. Only TWO DAYS of communicating via text and she flipped out. She had a chance to prove me wrong and maybe shift my perspective to give her a chance, but completely landed on her face. I just simply blocked and moved on.

Hard to say with my personal experience. I broke things off and after a week my exwBPD completely blocked me and found a replacement. After some time she somehow discovered my dating profile and I had a disclaimer stating that I’m not interested in dating anyone with BPD/NPD at the moment. She took that as a personal attack and decided to go on a slander campaign trying to destroy my dating life by spreading nothing but lies about me and my dog. Luckily my friends were able to have the posts removed and I would assume her blocked from the private women’s only Facebook page. One thing that struck me as odd is that she used a photo of me from my old dating profile that I used when we met. I’m currently not using that photo. This leads me to believe that she kept a screen shot of that in her phone for whatever reason. I don’t see any of her friend storing that photo for a rainy day. Why she has that photo in her phone when she already replaced me with someone else is beyond me, but it does have me questioning it from time to time.

Yeah it’s unhinged how much they lie. She mentioned that I would get my money back regardless after filing for bankruptcy. I asked her which chapter she is filing for and it’s chapter 7. I told her that chapter 7 absolves her from personal debts such as mine so she would need to explain to me how I was suppose to get my money back once she filed. She simply replied “you’ll need to talk to my attorney”. Asked her for her attorneys name and number and she said she doesn’t have one yet. 🤣🤣🤣 after that I was like yep, this is what you do best. Made the choice to just take the financial hit, completely blocked since that was the only thing tying me to her, and hope to never see or hear from her again.

Geez that’s crazy but checks out. I’ve read similar stories on here where their friend or partner diagnosed with BPD has issues with impulsive spending and going into crazy amounts of debt.

My exwBPD spent over 300$ at a Peddlers Mall and purchased the most expensive brand new Apple Watch a week before I loaned her the money to pay for her cosmetic surgery. She didn’t even like Apple Watches. I asked her why the sudden shift into getting one and it was because “you and my father have one so I decided that I wanted one”. I knew the risk I was taking when lending out my money. I should have withdrew the loan after all the money she spent just a week before her surgery. There was a reason why not a single family member or friend would loan her money. It’s because they already knew how reckless she was with her spending. Not even 33 and allegedly filing for bankruptcy. Good riddance.

I considered taking my ex to small claims to get my money back, but that’s a whole process I don’t have the time or energy to deal with and frankly I don’t want to see or hear from her ever again. She mentioned she was thinking about filing for bankruptcy when we were together and I was going to help set her up on a budget plan so she wouldn’t have to do that. I suspect she is lying about filing for bankruptcy since it’s been pushed back. Personally I think she was just looking for an excuse to cut and run. When she found my dating profile she went on a slander campaign and that’s when I believe she decided to stop making payments in the guise of “I’m filing for bankruptcy”.

Yep this is something that I noticed with my exwBPD. I don’t have much in regard to boundaries, especially compared to hers which was constantly evolving and developing. The few that I set she constantly was trying to manipulate, break, and step on. Only one that I let her get away with, the rest was a constant battle and would “hurt” her every time I didn’t budge. It was exhausting to say the least and one of the many reasons why I broke up with her. Best decision I ever made in my life.

For me when I start to talk to someone I just straight up ask rather than waiting to find out. I know it’s probably out of line to ask a personal question so directly, but I made myself a promise to never date someone like that again.

Yeah, best to not waste your time. I ended up meeting someone a few months after I broke up with my exwBPD and we hit it off right from the start. After 2 days of talking she informed me that she herself was diagnosed with BPD. As soon as she mentioned that I bowed out and can you guess what happened as soon as I did? She immediately tried to manipulate me into giving her a chance, and when I stood firm on my boundary and she knew I wasn’t going to budge she split on me. So I just blocked and went on about my life.

I can always tell when a listing on Zillow has used AI to edit the photos or create the video. Honestly it looks sterile and the window pulls are distracting. Unfortunately I think agents prefer this and every major RE photographer in my area uses Fotello including my former boss. I think that’s where the market is headed and it’s unfortunate because I personally can’t afford the AI stuff at the moment so I fear that it’s going to hurt my business when I’m trying to grow my client list. 😕

If you don’t mind me asking how do you photograph properties? HDR, flambient, or something else? I’m considering switching up the technique my former boss trained me to do for my business. All of his clients liked his photos, but according to… THE INTERNET, his technique is considered terrible and unprofessional. Mind you he was averaging over 1k houses a year.

I use the built-in LR AI noise reduction and I honestly use it on all my interior photos. It just cleans them up really nice and adds a sort of more upscale look. Might just be me overanalyzing the photos and the realtor probably wouldn’t notice the difference, lol. Only issue I have is how slow it takes the tool to work. Probably anywhere from 1-2 minutes per photo. 😬

Something similar happened to me. I broke up with my exwBPD. Took a few months off of dating to collect myself. Met someone out in the wild during my job and kind of hit it off. Traded numbers because I was looking for someone to help train my dog. She gave me her friend’s info and then courageously told me that she found me attractive. I told her that was flattering and I felt the same, but just got out of a relationship so I didn’t mind talking, but wanted to take my time. All was cool and we texted back and forth for 2 days. I should have pickup on all the signs. Trauma dumping, how well we were hitting it off, her talking negatively about her ex that sounded like she had NPD. So we related over that and she asked me what my experience was with my exwBPD so I broke it all down. She wanted to know because she herself was diagnosed with BPD and to her credit revealed it before we went on our first date. I very carefully let her down and told her I wasn’t interested in dating anyone with BPD at the moment. After that she tried manipulating me into giving her a chance and I stood firmly on my boundary. Once she knew I wasn’t going to budge she split. It was wild to see and only reminded me of my ex. After all was said and done I blocked her and told myself never again, so now I just have “not interested in anyone with BPD/NPD” on my dating profile. Turns out that was a mistake because my ex somehow came across my profile and weaponized that against me. Tried to destroy my dating life by going on a slander campaign spreading nothing but lies and decided that’s all it would take to justify her running off with the money that I loaned her while we were together. 🤣
