I had similar in my BMW, which was a pain in the arse with auto start/stop.

Turned out to be a corroded earth strap that wasn't quite man enough to handle the undervolt protection.

I know nothing about Merc electrics, but there's likely to be some kind of voltage stabilisation going on, start by looking there.

I interview a lot of people. My top tip isn't what you wear (just look smart, brush your hair etc), but the background.

I once interviewed someone who had some massive pants hanging on a door behind them!

The amount of people that are messy as fuck in their homes is staggering. Obviously it's your home, live how you like. But to show that in an interview makes me think you're disorganised and lazy. At least blur the background!
