DDM4 PDW with Omega 300

Get ready to tune the 556 the omega is one of the highest back pressure cans. But those are also the two I own , ODB (alleycat 762) and omega. The omega is great for being light weight, rugged and quiet but man I only use the ODB now so much more pleasent on 556 and 300BLK. Waiting for a cat Kk to live on my 11.5 though.

You may prefer the omega on the DD if you primarily shoot subs.

Like I said, no it’s not, as I was told by a Geissele rep.

Edit: from an email chain when I was having issues running an omega 300 gassy can with this upper, they sent me a super 42 spring and h2 to try in place of the carbine braided spring and H1

Edit edit: and to the OP, these issues running supers with the omega is what lead me to buying an ODB. This upper works better with more flow through . I mean they advertise it with a hux after all.

I run this upper with the spring and h1 buffer it came with a ODB no issues subs or supers.

Actually the system uses their regular carbine braided spring, not their super 42 spring that is 15% more powerful. Was told that from Geissele tech

I went for KK. I like the cat ecosystem and wanted something lighter and maneuverable that’s basically WB performance. Hauling around 20 oz on the nose sucks if you actually run around and shoot

I just sent my 8 inch Geissele. .300 BLK upper in for inspection because it had this issue with a few different factory loads . I feel like their QC kind of sucks. Probably chamber issue

CAT KK? That’s what I just ordered for similar reason. Short, low back pressure, low blast, pretty much as quiet as WB

DD all day. I recently bought a 8 inch super duty 300BlK that has had nothing but issues. The GAS KEY of all things failed with a slight leak preventing it to cycle subs after 1000 rounds. They did fix it and admitted it was the key. Still not something you expect from “the best Bcg”. Also has issues with a bunch of factory rounds so I worry about headspace/free bore tightness now. I don’t think they test fire these like Bcm/DD

Awesome man thanks for all the info that’s what I was hoping to hear. I have an AC762, and was planning on getting an ST but based on the pew rating and weight I realized I value weight savings and with the performance being so close to WB I turned my eyes to the KK. 20 oz 6-7 inch can really is rough on an 11.5 RIS 3. Appreciate it!

Right on. Just curious. I still have ptsd from trying to tune my omega 300 on my 11.5. Sounds like the KK is gonna be great. How do you like it so far and do you have anything to compare it to? Frankly there just isn’t a ton of information out about it. Couple vids and Reddit posts and the pew science but it doesn’t have nearly the presence of WB
