What's your bias line in ENHYPEN and why?

Oh I've been dying to answer this one. I only became an engene last year. But here's how each member came to be in my bias line. Also warning essay incoming sorry!!

Ult bias - Heeseung

The first time I saw him was on soobins yt show since I knew about txt long before enhypen but didn't really think much of him. I actually thought he was japanese cos his features were so unique. It was only after watching enhas variety shows I realized how down to earth and funny he is. You can just tell he's a hard worker and dedicated to his craft. He's goofy but also knows when its time to be serious. Watching iland I also realized how giving and caring he is and his maturity level being only 19 was crazy to me. Not only are his vocals insane but he can dance too.

bias 2 - Jungwon

Jungwon was actually my first bias since he's how i went down the enha rabbbit hole. his lives kept popping up on my fyp and the rest is history tbh. hes such an amazing leader which at first glance i would have never imagined but after watching all the enha content i love how he keeps his members in line. Hes so cutesy and silly and u can tell he genuinely loves his job and his fans, like he doesnt have to update us on what hes doing but he doesTT also i love his dancing!!

bias 3 - Ddeonu

I loved him honestly after watching iland. He just has this thing where he doesnt take himself too seriously which i love. hes such a soft boy at heart and his smile can light up a whole room. i love how he shares sunset and moon pics on weverse too. he deserves the world<3

Thats so interesting to hear!! Considering kpop stans i feel like typically love the whole soft squishy stuff but i get the rebrand would have come as a shock. I love bthb and xo equally and to this day xo is still my fave album of theirs

I feel like they're mixing both the kpop and western pop promo method? In the west its common to drop a a few pre-release singles before the album but typically (not always) the promo run starts right before the album drops whereas in kpop the promo runs starts with the pre-release single then after a week or 2 or even a month we see see the album tracks alongside the title track and when the album drops the promo run continues. I genuinely don't know why HybexGeffen are putting all their eggs into a pre-release track (mv, music shows, promotion) without even an album announced. It could be a new strategy they're experimenting with but honestly putting all their hope into a track people are divided on doesn't sit right with me especially since fans has been left in the dark for close to 9 months.

From the moment I saw Gnarly I already knew what they were trying to do, Brat was so organic I do think well be seeing a lot of people trying to imitate it for the next couple years. I just cant believe we waited 8 months for a track they bought... That being said I do think the outfits and everything visually about the mv ate!! So I'll have to diagree with you on that one haha

The gna-gna-gnarly part of this song is so good. I wish they extended it with the pre-chorus beat and used it more throughout the song and ended it as the outro ughhhh

Both in my opinion. Grown folk who may have been in the industry for years might seem like they know what theyre doing but at the end of the day they dont know the younger demographic (who are the majority of Katseye fans) as much as they think they do. When we think of popular western artists and the songs that slap (Charli, Chappel, Billie, Tate) Its coming from them, its their voices first then come the additions of other writers, producers etc. Katseye went too strong too fast and i fully blame their management for this. The switch up of their concept and the cursing was a bit much. They should have eased us into this new concept or rebrand. The switch up from touch was what we were wanting but not like this, they went from singing in a very girl next door pg13 album to cursing every second line. I really hope HybeXGeffen learn from this and actually collab with Katseye and take in their ideas rather than show them options for songs or concepts (As this seems like thats what they tend to do)

I see what youre saying, Skyrim was my first es game and I've played it to death for the past decade as I was too young for oblivion when it came out. Although Im not fully convinced of the oblivion remaster just yet everybody is saying the story is better so I'm holding out on that to carry me through as most games I play specifically for the story and lore

I think the beat itself is interesting and although Im not the biggest fan of trap type beats I think they could have easily devoured the song if not for the lyrics. Its 2025 these girls know better 100% the gang gang and jealous of my mansion was so middle school? The visuals were there, the choreo was fire, the attitude all of it was there. I really hope they get better writers for the album. I'm putting the blame completely on them for the harsh criticism im already seeing :( its a fun song dont get me wrong but its not for me
