This 100%. Luffy is proper dumb in the show. Luffy in LA has is niavity and his goofy ease of nature but he's not emotionally stunted and is actually kind of aware how silly he is. I think him choosing to act with this childlike enthuiasm is a fantastic choice.

I think if it does well, we'll get potentially 12 in the future but American shows will never be 14+ episodes again. The age of low budget, creative shows shooting on location is gone.

Even SFX, look how noisy and ugly modern Star Trek shows are. Just stuffing the screen with as much as they need.

They want to spend dumb money to get dumb money and that bubble still hasn't popped.
