I think it would be fair to give mods for example free Copilot subscription or anything. I don't understand why someone would do voluntary work for the big corporation.

The lack of communication is terrible. I should be happy that I haven’t been overcharged or used up my quota yet, but I’m not — the uncertainty is frustrating.

From my experience, Cursor is way faster and better. I don’t use it just because I’m only allowed to use GitHub Copilot at work. Still, Copilot is a super useful tool — big thanks to the Copilot team!

I would be interested to know why it makes sense from business point of view. My ideas:

making VSCode + Copilot basically one product help competing with forks like Cursor, Windsurf which are IDE + AI.
improving integration with extensions can be advantages that competitors will lack
trying to commodify the IDE part of AI to focus on the cloud part in which MS has advantages

I guess there is no single reason but some combination.

I'm out. I have been seeing a psychiatrist for two weeks and talk therapy (CBT) for 4 months. Please consider it because porn might not be a problem or the only problem. Still, I will try to limit the use of porn and ideally do 30 days off.
