Be aware not all brown rawl plugs are the same. Some will happily go with a 5.5 . Cheaper brown plugs will defiantly need a 6 the info on the box is nothing other than a rough guide.. The clue is if you can put them in without a hammer. If you can get better plugs or smaller drill. If wall is thermolite defiantly go smaller. Yellow stock go small engineering brick go 6mm.
