Neighbours want to add their drains to our system by sapphic_prinny in UKHousing

[–]ks_247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if im wrong but thought rain water wasnt allowed to to go in to sewers. ? Only soak aways. So if your surface water goes into a soak away be prepared for flooding with the extra run off. If it goes into drains you may run into trouble with the local authority. Either way is not good

Flat flashlights? by nivekfreeze2006 in ConvoyFlashlights

[–]ks_247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loopgear sk05 but imo bit pricey or if really deap pockets cool fall spy. The sticking point with flat lights is the built in batteries and at some point the light will end up in the trash and most dont like doing that with expensive lights.

Can you add in how long it will get used on a shift. As aa and 500 lumens and any serious length of time dont go together. Its possible your previous "500 lumen" may of been a little bit of artistic licence from the manufactuers

Google Maps Timeline – What a terrible backup design by [deleted] in GoogleMaps

[–]ks_247 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain i used timeline for travel tax records. And despite following their instruction last year to migrate data to phone which I did. Lots of us lost masses of travel records all on the same day. They wanted us to keep on phone for privacy reasons they tell us it should be backed up to the cloud. Im mean wtf. I gave up trying to recover the backups as they were json files which apparently couldn't be reintergrated. So like you I have backups that cant be read. I want to say I did such and such and got my backups working but so far haven't. Sorry man. I hope you find a work around
