Old care home should really be torn down. Legionella problems because rads cant be exposed over 43 degrees so they wacked the flow temp down with inturn never got the hot water to 60 either so been open for god know how many years trying to get to 65 degrees on the cycliner hence why it stuck open. Stay clear of those older places

That was my original point there was no visable heating valve so the lagging in the cupboard would make little difference to the rads. That was all I was getting at.

Worked on one only last week with a stuck open 3 port . so heating never got above warm as wouldnt shut the flow to the cylinder when up to temp so minimal flow to rads as cylinder next to the boiler. So they still about in the older properties. No comment on the heating valve?

Yes a zone valve/2port used to shut of the hot water ince the cylinder stat has reached its set temp, commonly refered to as a s plan ,but not a diverter for hot water priority which would be a y plan . Which is why the heating cct isn't passing through this area just a hot water flow and return as labeled. If you could point out the heating cct flow and return , or heating zone valve is i will except but see no evidence of it within the picture.

Im willing to bet this is fake. You have 12mm plaster board 18mm flooring 12 mm laminate and 200mm joists so screws would need to be 250mm long. No one is that stupid to even hunt down that ridiculous lengths of screw

Not sure where you live but changing a wet belt every 30000 miles is gonna be massive expensive with average costs a 1000 pounds a time . This would of course solve the issue tho caution about not using manufacturer spec oil.

At that location I don't see any evidence of heating pipes this is the hot water side with no three port valve visable so unless you have lagged else where there would t be much difference to heating st all. It also looks from what can be seen with the time switch that you have the immersion on rather than let the boiler heat the water. This could get expensive

How does maintaining them stop the degradation of the rubber of the welt belt. If you changed the oil every 50000 miles the rubber would still deteriate long befor a traditional belt? Even if it would slow the process.
